Great enthusiasm, which is....er great, but we need more, helluva lot more.
One swallow does not make a summer, neither does one win [in 17] make us safe.
So keep up the good form cheer, but let's not go overboard......yet

I hope I'm not hijacking I would like to comment. I am a idiot but I know we will survive. We have to earn it however and I believe that is our way.
I know one thing negative stuff doesn't have much going for it and this is a great thread

It only matters where we finish for those who think we are relegated already I will say I sincerely disagree with you and would feel ashamed to stand at LR with you . You are not realists you have no more insight than I do we are equal have your say as I will have mine.

If the league started when Harry took over we would be 7th! Onwards and Upwards.

Seems easier to believe today but, as per other comments above, there is a long way to go.

It is fickle too. I thought Villa were REALLY poor yet they beat Liverpool 3:1.

There are many twists and turns to come yet. Would be really unwelcome if all down to last day again!!

I was impressed with villa late second half against us said to my boys at the time they will be a good side... They stuffed Norwich in the cup any guesses what that did for their team spirit and confidence

At the risk of upsetting DT3 with a bout of pessimism, I'm dreading our first defeat under HR. Our next run of games will be crucial, but if we can avoid defeat until the Chelsea game then I'll feel a lot more confident, particularly if we grab a couple of wins.

You are so right Dog on this and it's a great point .. On record already as saying we face a massive task getting a result at SJP how we as a fan base prepare for that I don't know tbh

Our football is looking solid and under Harold we are unbeaten it's fragile as he is still looking at us as a whole
Newcastle could be stronger on paper than they will be maybe we have hope.
we will get chances I am sure
Adel this weeks superstar he is bound to benefit from the confidence boost
It has to be what it will be
Could be worse could have theirs of Col and gang ... I think of them as shaggies from scooby doo

Woof, woof!! Yes, a lot more to be confident about now than our situation a few weeks ago. The defence is looking more accomplished each game, particularly the central pairing and the left-back; plus we're defending from the front in a much more robust and organised manner than previously.

Disagree with Villa being poor. That 2nd goal was as good as anything you'll see in the PL this season. Villa have improved under Lambert, he's got them trying to win games. It's a young team but the loss to United highlighted their potential. I think they'll stay up. You needn't worry about Reading as you guys will finish way above them, they're certs to go down.

Wigan and Southampton are more catchable.

Come 2nd January QPR will have played away to all of what is likely to be the top 4/5 by then (United, City, Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal). That's a massive bonus. No disrespect to QPR but when your in this position there are some away games you have to virtually write off, but in the PL anything can happen when your at home so playing City, United, Arsenal, Spurs at Loftus Road is a massive plus as you don't need to get players fired up for those kind of games.

Despite the bad start QPR are still in touching distance of the rest, not over by any means

If we keep up the 1.5 points per game ratio Harry has got us so far, then we will finish on 41 points......well above whats needed this year.

Yeh it's possible! But that average was from Fulham, Villa, Sunderland and Wigan, it will get tougher!

Or it will get easier as we get better, saw the birth of a team and team spirit yesterday. Time to focus on us, not the opposition, only Utd and City are different class in this league, and both of them are far from perfect.

    The glory will be ours.

That's the problem with short -termism. We would be even higher if the season started yesterday. For us it did. But success has to be judged at the end of the season. As DT has said, one match does not in itself matter very much. The gap was never too big with so many games left to play. A fortnight ago, the doomsters had us down precisely because the gap had reached 5 points.

I am going to Newcastle with optimism for the first time in a long while that we could win away from home. Because we will try to do so. We now look as though we play to win and not just to deny the opposition. Hopefully the days when our manager decides to drop Adel Taarabt in the last game of the season because he believes our best chance of staying up is to shut up shop and hope to score with one of two chances are now behind us never to return.

Those of you who can get to Loftus Road have a very large part to play. It remains very possible to climb out of trouble provided LR can once again become our cauldron of noise. Enough of our players clearly care very much. If we can win a couple of games away we have a decent chance. If we focus on the return games with the clubs at the bottom and get the results we are capable of it could be a lot more comfortable than that.
