    Monday 25th January 7.45pm
    FA Cup 4th Round
    Adams Park

For anyone that doesn't know, one of our long-term regulars sadly passed away in November from cancer.
Rocky Blue Army/Stokenchurch Yid was a supporter of both clubs involved in this tie.
As such, it seems appropriate to dedicate the thread to his memory.
Seems like such an unlikely draw, doesn't it?
Here are links to the threads on each board, if anyone missed them: Spurs Wycombe

Wycombe had a very good season last time out, resulting in them sitting in 3rd when it was called to a halt.
The coronavirus prematurely ended the normal campaign, but the play-offs still went ahead in July.
The Chairboys faced Fleetwood Town in the semis and a comfortable away victory set them up nicely.
They went behind twice in the return leg, but their 4-1 lead never looked like slipping away.
The final against Oxford was tighter and a late penalty from Joe Jacobson won them promotion:

The club's first ever campaign in the 2nd tier has been a tough one for Gareth Ainsworth's boys.
They currently sit 7 points adrift of safety at the bottom of the division, unfortunately.
They do have games in hind over Derby and Forest, who sit in the nearest two safe places, though.
Goals have been hard to come by, with Scott Kashket their highest scorer on 4.
They've also conceded the joint highest in the division, though 35 in 23 doesn't sound that terrible.

Wycombe's cup form has been brighter than that of the league, though.
Brentford only put them out on penalties in the League Cup and we saw how tough they were.
The FA Cup gave them a fairly tough looking draw at home to Preston, who are also in the Championship.
They're currently in 10th position and have one eye on a run at the play-offs.
It was a resounding victory for the home side, as they raced to an early 3-0 lead and won 4-1:

We've only faced Wycombe competitively on one previous occasion, also in this round of the FA Cup.
The Blues were in the 4th tier in 2017 and the match was supposed to be an easy one for us.
As anyone who follows Spurs knows though, we don't do easy.
The visitors lead 2-0 and 3-2 as a rotated team struggled to deal with an on-form side.
Trippier went off injured after we'd used our subs, but Son sealed the win with some late, late drama:

Lo Celso is out again, but we don't appear to have added anyone else to the treatment list.
No injury news for the hosts yet. Neither side has any suspensions.

Lineups for each side's last league game:

Spurs: Lloris; Davies, Dier, Rodon; Aurier, Hojbjerg, Ndombele, Reguilon; Bergwijn, Kane, Son.
Subs: Hart, Sanchez, Alderweireld, Fernandes, Sissoko, Bale, Lamela, Moura, Vinicius.
    League form: LLDWDW.

Wycombe: Allsop; Grimmer, Knight, Tafazolli, Jacobson; Wheeler, Thompson, Mehmeti; McCleary, Ikpeazu, Horgan.
Subs: Stockdale, McCarthy, Pattison, Adeniran, Bloomfield, Onyedinma, Kashket, Samuel, Akinfenwa.
    League form: LLDLWL.

    Ref: Jonathan Moss.

    TV: BT Sport 1.

How would you like to line up for this one and what would you change from the Sheffield United game?
Would you stick with much of the same lineup, make a few changes or go for a wholesale switch?
Which system and tactics would you use and what are you expecting Wycombe to go with?

The Wycombe game was my eldests last game at the old lane and it is one of my favourite ever games that I have been to.
It was a brilliant game and tbh Wycombe deserved a draw.
I always wished that had been the last FA Cup game at the lane as it was so memorable.

Here's hoping Monday's game is no where near as stressful <laugh>

Edit...lovely touch making this a tribute to our fallen spur

Here’s hoping both teams put on a show for Stokey.

Another 4-3 would be great, just maybe not such a late show this time, please!

The Poool PL game is must-win, so if S1 is the
current strongest PL starting XI, and S2 is the
current strongest set of subs, is Jose able to select
    the team sheet for this game as : squad - S1 - S2 ??

As a lad I used to go with my Dad and Grandad to watch Dulwich Hamlet in the Isthmian League the toughest opponents for Dulwich at that time seemed to be Walthamstow Avenue and Wycombe Wanderers. Here is the 1950 table

I remember as a kid names such as Corinthians, Kingstonians etc
coming up at the tail end of the FT results (sometimes those
fixtures were on the "pools slip" ) .

    More stuff from the net

    1932 F.A. Amateur Cup final. Final score: Dulwich Hamlet F.C. 7 - 1 Liverpool Marine F.C.

Hamlet did better than Spurs against Marine.

Would've kept Rodon in the team so he could get a rhythm going and ready to deal with Pool on Thursday but other than that it's pretty much the XI I would've expected.

Strong bench, thought one of Devine/ Scarlett may have gotten on it.

That line up should have enough to comfortably beat Wycombe. 2-0 Spurs is my prediction
