"We've got to be patient, because the big clubs haven't made moves yet," Bruce explained. "We're vitally aware that scoring was our Achilles heel last year, but the right players haven't become available just yet. "We're hopeful that when they do become available we can act." Does that mean there are strikers til now now linked, that he is looking from Premiership big clubs?? Who dat den?
Demba Ba? Macheda? Guidetti? There aren't many PL clubs that will have available strikers, so I'm guessing these big clubs will also be located abroad, such as Inter, Bayern, Barca, Real and PSG.
Steve Bruce will have the strikers situation under control despite whast some are thinking. midfield = just one more needed defence = well sorted gk = even better. All 3 gk are now Hull City players. Patience as always.
It's a domino effect anyway. Striker from big clubs become available and move to slightly smaller clubs, who's strikers become available and move to slightly smaller clubs and on and on. For example Javier Hernandez becoming available at Man U could indirectly make Papisse Cisse or Ricky Lambert available to us, with 3 other players moving between different clubs in between.
To be fair, Handanovic is about the best in the world in his position at the moment. Barca want him and if he goes all the media will suddenley **** about him.
Even if we could afford him I doubt he would sign for us anyway due to our sponsor. Apparently he is refusing to wear Newcastle's shirt because it bears the sponsor Wonga and it's against his beliefs. Rumour has it he's being made to train on his own
