Just posted this on the Norwich board, glad they were promoted, a one off tr0phy, the reasons explained for the younger folks. At least two teams in this division will be playing for silverware next season, and this bit of siverware is of particular significance, as it says on the tin, FRIENDLY, Norwich versus Sunderland, in the milk cup, as it was then, Norwich won, I lost ã50 to my Norwich supporting mate,was in the Sultanate Of Oman at the time. Now I know theres no money given to the winner, but I know Sunderland fans will be the most welcome fans in all the land , at Norwich, and I also know Norwich fans will be given hero`s welcomes in Sunderland. Man U, and the likes can never win this trophy, this one is special, also In memory of the lad who lost his life on the train, Ive never forgotten, nor will many of you, so bring it on and welcome. Our town is your town, call it a city if you like, but it wassent then, remember, Ipswitch and Newcastle are not elligable, because plain and simply put they are not FRIENDLY. Come on up folks, our welcome is better than it ever was, because as sure as anything Im coming down your end, as soon as the fixture comes out. Will be booking flights and hotels, got a lot of ex RAF mates in that area. A bit of catching up to do.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,congrats on the promotion, well deserved.
Congratulations on Nowrich on there Promotion and im sure they will bring good numbers up but the problem with them is that they dont generate an atmosphere.
