Just listened to Hughton's interview on skysports.com and he described the second half as allowing howson to break off the system and push forward more... sounds like the return of the diamond to me! Great to see us perform so well in a 45 minute period with a more attacking outlook because we looked seriously bad in the first half I thought...

It wasn't really a return to the diamond, just in the second half, once we won the ball, Howson would charge forward to support the attack with Fer there to cover. When defending we were still 4-4-2 just with a higher line and tighter pressing on the WH players. It made it so much easier for Howson to break out and support the attacks because he was only ten or so yards inside our half rather than on the edge of his own area!
