If Southampton lose to West Ham then I think they're properly in the clarts - or vice versa actually. They've both got fairly horrible games afterwards
Massive game between us and Hammers on Saturday. Loser will face a huge uphill battle considering fixtures remaining. West Brom are gone and I suspect Stoke will be going too. You and Swansea should be okay I reckon and Palace probably too now Zaha is back. One from us, Hudders and West Ham. Which reminds me you lot had better ****ing win on Saturday...
West Ham look to have the worst fixtures overall. Huddersfield have got a minging final 3 games though. Palace have the best run in and I think will be safe. We will be OK I think. If we beat Huddersfield we are very close.
3 points this weekend vs Huddersfield and again in a few weeks vs West Brom and I'll be relaxed, sneak a point or 2 out of Everton and Watford and that'll be 40 points and we can give some of the younger lads a run out for the last few games.
No-one more deserving of relegation than those happy hammers, so hope So'ton fecking smash them. If we can beat Hudds I think we're safe. Think it could well come down to West Ham/Hudds for the drop, with Stoke having joined the Baggies, and I reckon most of the country will be behind Wagner's side.
All of the bottom 4 have much tougher run ins, though Southhampton have a game in hand. If we manage to do sufficiently worse than 2 of them that they can make up our current lead over them, we deserve whatever happens to us
There seems to be an out of control arrogance with the Hammers fans. Maybe its' time for them to have a reality check. They play in an athletics stadium, they fight amongst themselves... and have the dildo brother running them into the ground. I'd not be best pleased if I were a hammers fan.
Actually, to be fair - most of the West Ham fans I know down here and work with are pretty down to earth when it comes to their place in the grand scheme of things. They see Newcastle as a far bigger club than them for example - so clearly no chips on their shoulders (bit of delusion maybe, bless them...) Since they moved, the club has picked up a fair share of "new" fans who seem to be the arrogant/entitled ones - the lads I know are pretty pissed off with them and that's part of the reason why there's been some much hassle in the ground Not sure how it will resolve itself but a few of them are wondering if ultimately relegation might be a good thing as most of the new idiots will piss off somewhere else
This! All West Ham fans I know are pretty disillusioned with the club under the current ownership but also the trouble that flared the other day and equally by the recent media coverage of the "fan base". 20 people given lifetime bans out of 50 odd Thousand fans there. Understandable protests but majority of fans felt it went way over the top the other week.
I find it hard to get too upset with a particular set of fans. Generalisations seem to largely based on a very small sample. We've had this ourselves over the years so I'm not going to do it with others. Except Mackems who nearly all have a massive chip on their shoulder Mind I question the sanity of West Ham fans seeing us as a bigger club. We are a yo yo club over the last 10 years or so. I'm sure we've been relegated more over that period and had generally worse finishes than them.
Agreed (hence my comment about a bit of delusion ) - guess it's more as a whole rather than the last few years. Bigger fan base, stadium, European adventures etc To be honest, they're probably one of the more "normal" clubs still in existence in London - most Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal fans etc seem to be away with the fairies
Nobody can say they are safe is the reality in the bottom half and even WBA are not down yet but they will need mostly wins and results to go their way which is highly unlikely... The rest of us have it all to do and anything can happen as we all know......A very exciting run in on the cards.....
