They may claim it's a satirical swipe at social media but if that's so it's a very clumsy and insensitive one.
No way the editor didn't think that before publishing. That's two editions gaining free publicity for sensationalist items. Is its circulation up or down on the norm before these issues?
Nothing satirical about making fun of someone fighting for their life. please log in to view this image They could have chosen Ryan Giggs and his trial by twitter if they wanted satire and twitter combined.
I can see the point they're trying to make but it's pretty insensitive given that Muamba is still in hospital fighting for his life. They could have made their point in other (more sensitive) ways.
Complete idiots, ot not actually see how this would be perceived is idiotic. insensitive and serious lack of empathy in the individual who signed this off, the editor or whatever. That article could have been written without even a mention of Fabrice. Its a synical jab at SN users for doing exactly what this article has done. D'oh the irony
To be honest I agree with the mag to some extent. The way the media have jumped on the bandwagon in nauseating. Yes of cause it is bad - but **** me a lot worse happens around the world and in our country which is far, far worse. They have purely seen it as an opportunity as its on most peoples voices. They keep referring to him as if he's dead!!! However wouild I publish this? Er no.
Did the Man Utd fanzine once also post pictures mocking hillsborough? The annoying thing is there will be some idiots out there who will use this to label all Man Utd fans.
In some peoples eyes it's just going to give the club a bad reputation which as we know on the Liverpool board, is ******* annoying!
Yernited fans singing you " Racist Bastard" and " Murderer" at Danny Murphy playin for Fulham tonight.PURE SC*M!!!!!!!!
There will always be people looking to do that- we've suffered that stigma more than enough recently. Anyone who brands a large group of people through an association with a minority is either stupid or just using it to score points. Either way, best ignored.
I totally and utterly agree with this!! Anyone would think the guy had been murdered on the pitch the way the media reacted to this last week. Can't be much else happening in the world, no genocide, no wars, no troops being blown up, no rampant piracy in the Indian Ocean.
What do you expect with the media that we have? Now the story itself does deserve our sympathy. I did feel relieved when I heard that he was improving. However, we concentrate upon the emotion (an easy card to play) and not upon the facts. We no longer have a sports media that actually takes time to develop a story. If they know nothing they will just make it up - and we know it but still buy the rags!!
Chanting murdered at Danny Murphy last night they showed that they are low lifes, thats almost as bad as standing outside Rooneys house with balaclavas on threatning his family because he wanted to leave.
