A really great article here. Took me a while to wade through it but its worth it to get the real financial situation of our club and exposes the bollocks the clubs says..

I'm obviously just picking out a small part of that article, but I found it interesting that we'd only have made an extra £18m if we'd followed our 5th place finish with the same the following seasons. Combined with a pretty naff amount gained from being in the Europa League and a small increase in gate receipts (something like £2m more wasn't it?) and I can't help but see why Ashley probably doesn't want to bother. It'd take more than that to buy the players to keep us 5th in the table. As a business man it makes no sense to push for it.

Great article, but I'm not quite sure what bollocks of the club it contradicts ?
