The England international striker, who is currently sidelined with a slight knee injury he suffered during the weekend's friendly win against Chicago Fire on the club's tour of the United States, has been linked with a move to Wearside where he would link up with former Villa boss Martin O'Neill. However, Agbonlahor has spoken out to laugh off the rumours and he insists that, as far as he is concerned, he has no plans to quit Villa Park for the Stadium of Light. The Birmingham-born star, who is the club's longest serving player, is just focused on the next three years of his contract in the new Paul Lambert era. He told the Birmingham Mail: "Looking at it over the summer I'm just laughing to myself thinking 'where do they get these links from'? "I'm an Aston Villa player, it's my home club, I love the club and as long as I'm contracted to the club then I'll continue to play for them until I get told otherwise. Sunderland's very far away anyway." "I think when you've played with a manager before, especially one as good as Martin O'Neill, then you are going to be linked with him," added Agbonlahor. "And when a new manager comes in here then people think straight away that you're not going to be involved. "For me it's just speculation and nobody knows whether it's true or it's not true. "But I haven't heard anything about it." SITE CRASHED ON ME, SO HAVE GIVEN UP ON THIS ARTICLE.
