When the hell is this going to be played? I mean it cant be that difficult to schedule a date. Neither team is in europe so both have plenty spare tuesdays and wednesdays. Its frankly becoming a farce that no date has yet been announced and to be fair we could do with the three points.

I think you've got to give plenty of notice nowadays with rearranged fixtures. Midweek games are obviously harder to get to for some fans who work 9-5 M-F so giving them just a few weeks notice might not suffice for their employers, there's obviously other factors too such as policing etc.
EUFA have a rule that you cannot play domestic games (wheteher you are involved or not) the same week that the european games are on - SAFC and Reading were trying to re-arrange the game for sometime in October when they had less games but they are not allowed to play then - last I heard in the press it was looking as though we might have to play in December when we already have 6 games that month
December is the only month free to play it in Jerry as we are not allowed to play mid week during any Uefa competitions. The actual date is still to be fixed though.
