What everyone knew would happen has happened: the great Suarez - the scousers best player- wants to leave. The reason: his mistreatment by the English media. <laugh> nothing to do with mediocrity and lack of European football...<ok>

of course we all know that their was no reason for the media: he didn't bite the Chelsea player,he didn't call Evra names, never dived, didn't get banned... Just an innocent player being victimised..

The scousers who used to idolise him now call him all sorts of names... Events we had all predicted on here...<laugh>

    Victimised by the media.

Nothing to do with his diving, cheating, biting and racially abusing opponents. The stupid **** <doh>

What I've never quite understood is the argument that Suarez is unfairly treated because others have previously made the same mistakes as him but not been on the end of so much criticism. Yet they fail to see that he has done pretty much everything you shouldn't on the football pitch, a combination of everyone's bad traits.

Don't particularly like him but can't deny that he's a great player. He has made mistakes but the press make more of it than they do with other players. Also he can now go to a club that will challenge for honours instead of playing for one that is stuck in the past.

Exactly, Suarez wouldn't be being "victimised" if he stopped giving the press enough ammunition to supply a small army.

He is a great player but I reckon if terry had also been biting and diving he would have gotten just as much **** from the press

Exactly. Defoe would probably gotten more stick for biting had he also had a history of racist language, diving, stamping, hand balling, biting etc. Probably the closest other example is Joey Barton with his 12 match ban for kicking out at Tevez last season. I actually made that point to a mate of mine and his response was that Barton is actually genuinely nasty whereas Suarez is just misunderstood <doh>

Probably because he's made more mistakes than other players. Can't think of any player with a rap sheet as long as Suarez, except Barton who also gets the same level of stick in the press.

The most disappointing thing for the Liverpool fans who have mistakenly shown Suarez blind loyalty at the expense of compromising their own moral credibility is that he is making it clear he wants to leave which will hammer his transfer fee.

I still don't buy into the fact that he's one of the best players in the world. He's very talented and shows flashes of brilliance but he's also not a team player and misses a huge amount of chances for a striker/reverse 9/inside 10/back to front forward. If they get £35million for him they should grab the money and run.

To think that the scousers had decided to build their team around this unreliable and treacherous scum shows how low their club has sunk.

One piece of hilarious comment seen on the miserables' board: From Donga- ' the press turned on Suarez when they found that he presented a challenge to United's domination'

Donkey Donga's tiny paranoid brain must have been further rotten by too much smoking of cheap scouse grass <laugh>

He was never deserving of their loyalty. Rodgers has now the challenge of not repeating Dalglish's catastrophic error in paying huge amounts of money for duds.

Hey come on......are you saying you would not defend your own player?......(Cantona comes to mind)........Most Liverpool fans that I have spoken to abhor some of his actions. They have a point in my view in regards to the media....but having said that he doesn't exactly help himself does he?
