    And (on paper at least) made a very good Premier League defence out of our championship defenders. Only Burnley outside the top 5 have conceded less.

    He needs to sell. He will NOT start throwing money about so if he does not sell up it will just be more of the same next season.................... he needs to go or i fear Rafa will.

    Rafa had one job this season - to keep us up. We all know that the way you do that is to beat the teams in your own mini-league.

    Realistically, the bottom 11 teams in the league as it stands were the only ones ever likely to be in the relegation mix. This is the league table of games played against each other by those bottom 11 teams...

    I've battered Rafa and some of his decisions this year but got to hand it to him he has done wonders with what he has to work with especially the defenders.

    We have always, as long as I can remember anyway, had a lousy defence. Some quality here and there but the current crop aren't individually great players but Rafa has out done himself coaching them into a solid unit and probably the foundations of us staying up this second half of the season. Players like Yedlin, Lascelles and Dummett have learnt more in the last 2 years than most and it shows.
