    Think they have it.
With MON at the helm all season would have been a lot closer but 10 points is a lot.

I still hope tho, seem to recall them blowing a 12 point gap once. I would love it, just love it if it happened again.

You've anticipated that Sunderland will win every game they're expected to, and draw in some they would expect to lose. And you've predicted Newcastle to draw/lose about half the games they would be expected to win, and lose every single game we would expect to lose. How can you do that <laugh>

similar gap to now i reckon, pretty similar run in and they are in as good form as we are (i.e. middling), plus we have lost our captain and our best player for at least a quarter of those.......

Unfortunately have to agree with this, your predictions are very biased lol. Reckon the gap will be about what it is now come the end of the season.

Unless Newcastle have a major meltdown (which I am not doubting for a second!), they will finish above us. However, if we can finish 8th I will be immensely happy, regardless of who is above/below us.

If we hang onto the 10pts they have on us we will be lucky :)

My humble opinion. Too far behind to get them now, unless they really **** up. Or Tiote gets an offer from Hollywood...

There is no race for north east supremacy , I would be surprised if we would even half the gap.Eventhough we have had a fantastic run since MON started and at one point we were toe to toe with Man city and Utd (points wise) you would have thought that we would have closed the gap more than we have but 10 points is way too much. Had Martin been in the whole season, well that is a completely different story. Our remit for the remainder of the season is to win the fight for 8th, if you look at the table there is 5/6 teams all within a couple of points of each other, our fight is to finish above all of them . It won't be easy there is a couple of very decent teams in there and we have to do it with our captain and our biggest threat missing from the first few games. But Mon will have the lads up for the fight and who knows how high we will get.

That was for the league title with Man Utd in pursuit.

Not some imaginary 'top dogs' nonsense with Sunderland.

I'd agree with most of these apart from saying that you guys will win against Liverpool at home, but we'll only get a draw?

Not interested in anything but SAFC and how they do. North east supremacy is irrelevant as it does not guarantee a title

Let's not pretend that none of us care about where we finish in relation to each other <doh>
