its like an advertisement, the other forums seem to have all get next to no members, that -sportwitness.ning.com one is particularly rubbish.
I don't want to become arrogant yet as there could still be swings in favour of the others but you need a weight of people in a forum to make it work - which is something we're achieving. The truth is we had this forum going in various guises for years before 606 was closing, we were for the disaffected posters who were sick of the mods and wums. I've pumped a lot of time and money into maintaining the server and building the various sites we had over the years and there were a few times other people suggested chucking in the towel when the numbers started dropping. I finally got lucky in having a fully functional site with 606 in the name being ready waiting here for the BBC announcement - so as a forum with our patience we probably deserve the extra posters more than those guys who are nothing more than opportunists who have arrived slightly too late in the game.
