I just hope tomorrow the TV schedules get back to normal, we are done now.

Does Charles still have to be officially crowned or they not doing that bolloxs?

Lol......the mardi gras is still alive and kicking I'm afraid.....**** boy will be there wearing military medals like nothing has ever happened

Is it over yet? Only every page - every ****ing page - of the Metro is plastered with funeral photos. Assuming the rest of the garbage that passes for the press in this country is the same?

^^^ brainwashed
He is just repeating the oath that comes with being a citizen of the UK. All new citizens are obliged to swear the oath which presumably means all existing citizens are also bound by it.

It would be a bit hypocritical to carry a UK passport and take advantage of all the rights of passage and protection that our ruler gives you if you don’t actually believe in our citizenship rules.

Think they should include the oath on all new passport application forms.

Unfortunately, he is their King.
We dont get to choose our monarchs, thats not how monarchies work.
Think this guy is ******ed.

Charlie isn't that bright I know.....had a tantrum over a pen.....he had 2 have bitty from camilla to calm him down.

But yeah it is a choice....even though they pretend we don't......there are no such thing as royals in Wales no matter what fake documents they sign

I don’t even remember the original comment that I was responding to now lol.

But I wouldn’t be swearing to any oath if it included some faux sycophantic fawning over an aristocratic pomp who thinks they can laud it over the peasants.

Swear an oath lol......the only thing I've ever pledged was the wood furniture in my house

I think you are assumed to have pledged your allegiance to the queen/king as a British citizen so you are doing it every time you use your passport.

This assumption is erroneous. As a freeborn Englishman, equal in the eyes of God to every man and woman in this land, I pledge no such thing. I am no better and no worse than the person standing next to me, no matter how much their hat cost.

You pledge allegiance to a country when you become a citizen ie emigrate to that country but not sure if born in that country as a citizen it's a given,I may be wrong though.
