I get a great deal of paid time whizzing around all over the place,and therefore a great deal of thinking time. Yesterday was a post on the team for Sat, and the initial posting is a very good team, I followed it up with my version as did others, and since I have wondered how on earth I could leave Skusy out. And therein lies the quandary...give someone a half minute to read a post then put up your team and the initial thoughts are on who you think is best suited and what the form and plays is, gut instinct Take a step back and look at what you have available and no longer is it a gut instinct. You need a defence midfield and attack, so who goes on the paper first....the goalie or the striker? Lateral thinking, and looking at all posted teams start with the goalie ! so makes sense the defence comes next...in this day and age 4 seems to be the way( unless you are Sir A and go for 2! WITH a good defence sorted, move on to midfield, work out a couple defensive orientated and a couple attackers (maybe throw in the central pivot if we had one!) and look at ADDY, JCR, SKUSEY and MARV to do the job good balance, YEP THAT LOOKS GOOD..just the 4..Hang on though what about , and then I have ... uuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmm so who do I play. breathing space, look at the subs you may have/need In the subs I need a defender, a goalie that leaves 3 places, 8 PLAYERS TO CHOSE FROM SO 3 WILL BE DROPPED....as I need 2 on the field Do I play Kilko, and a striker, do I play 2 strikers? I'LL PLAY 2 STRIKERS....to start! and I am in a real quandary now....who are the 3 from KILKO,BOLA OR CISSE, WOOLY, Nicky, Steaders, Pitters,Taylor in the subs, and who I will drop....
If the team he picks doesnt match your opinion will you support it....tooth and nail. Skusey on the radio today sang the praises of Basso and pointed out 3 ex City could be lining up!!!!!
