It really doesn't bother me who goes down (as long as it isn't us) and if QPR stay up then good on them I bear them no ill luck. But following football in general I just wonder how long the same old excuse comes out from Mark Hughes and some pundits. Once we get the first win. Over a quarter of the season has gone and the same old rhetoric. He's not the only one guilty of rhetoric of course. Tony Poolofpiss at Stoke, Atanyprice at WHU, Winger at Arsenal just keep on with the same old boring, I'm not wrong crap game after game and Hughes has now joined them. McDermott is half way there and if Rodgers has any more "proid" in his players they just need to pretend they are the best team in the league and we can all pack in.
I can't understand a word Ferguson, Mancini, "Mitchum" DiMatteo, Moyes, Lambert, Clarke, Laudrup, Martinez says. O'Neill gets madder by the day. Jol sounds the volume is going on the telly. Adkins sounds a bit of a pleader and Pardew is always asking for people to believe him.
I think that leaves Chris Hughton as the only lucid, charismatic, believeable nice guy managing a Prem team.

Nah moyes is a class act and surely successor to ferguson and there's something about laudrups relaxed demeanour I like

Just watching Southampton disintegrate again, marginally worse than us

I thought WBA could be a relegation candidate! They are doing well
Saints play attractive football but their midfield and defence is too porous. So glad we prioritised defence this summer

I wouldn't say he under acheived at Blackburn or Fulham. In fact a 43% win rate for a team like Blackburn is exceptional. I believe they were struggling when he took over as well.

Have to disagree about his Fulham time Carrabuh.

He took a Europa League finalist team to bottom 3 in half a season. Only recovering by allowing the players to revert to Hodgson's team/tactics and Danny Murphy to run the team. He then activated his release clause, thank goodness, for greater ambitions.

obsessed with a relegation rival? not sure about obsessed. interested certainly...

the fernandes factor (the fact he tried to buy us first) means there will always be an interest in qpr whilst he is at the club. had he bought west ham, we'd be talking about them <ok>

You're not classing us as one of them are you? Not Carrot Crunching Two Thumbs Inbred Nothing else to do Long John Silver sounding Spaspeckers Norwich City?

i have many issues with hughes - i think he has long been overrated and more importantly, it is clear that he has always believed the hype surrounding him. the two jobs hughes did well in were the wales job and the blackburn job. he did poorly at fulham and treated the club even more poorly, poorly at citeh who resided in the bottom half for much of his time there, in spite of the enormous outlay on players, and despite keeping qpr up last season, you'd have to say he's struggled there too, though i would say expectations are way too high. had they been level with our own, ie to stay up, pure and simple, i suspect they wouldn't be quite so fed up right now. a classic case of trying to run before you can walk <ok>

Like it Redruth, <ok> I often sit watching these goons being interviewed on MotD, and wonder about their job description. Obviously 'Manager' is some sort of misnomer, as it indicat's that they are actually managing, or being in charge, to hear them talk it's obviously someone else's job to do that, as there's always someone else to blame. What I find most irritating is 'this is a really difficult place to come to'! Well surprise surprise, you didn't know that before you went, did you not make a plan on how to deal with it! No of course not, it was the referee's fault!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
