So, we have just been spanked 4-1 by a team we should (IMO) be at least giving a good game to, and now our squad has a three and a half hour journey home to contemplate mistakes made throughout the day. Mistakes which may well have started with the team sheet and team set up, but which certainly continued on the pitch with sloppy play and a negative frame of mind.

So my question is, where from here? How is it possible for the team mentality to switch to a positive, attacking mentality? Is it possible? Just trying to establish in my head if there is hope for a storming end to the season, or is the mentality just not there to go out and win games. I just didn't see it on show today.

Harry will say we matched them and it should have been 2-2 for the 2nd half had it not been for the ref.
He should pick that 2nd half team for the next game and not go for a 4141 especially if we dont have a CF.

We did it last season when we wont the game we had to win when draws werent good enough. That has to start again now, we have to go for a win in every game.

At last, we agree mate. No more 4-1-4-1. 4-2-3-1, 4-3-3 or 4-4-2..............got to attack....end of. If Harry doesn't, he will be every bit as clueless as Hughes in my book.

Thats what changed in the 2nd half, we didnt have 11 behind the ball and only 1 or 2 in the box when we do get it. We pressed up high and pushed men into the box, yes that will leave you more exposed but it must be done in order to score goals. We have to rely on our defence to be able to stop people.

No. The League table suggests otherwise. Reading, Wigan, Villa, Southampton, maybe.

All the Swansea players look mobile and comfortable on the ball. Our team is always set up to be tight, work hard and try not concede. We have NO real threat going forward. Our whole midfield are incapable of putting their foot on the ball and passing it. Sad but true. There is NO connect between our midfield and front man. None. We could play for a month and not score enough to win a game.

We set up like we are 3-0 up after the 1st leg of a game and all we need to do is not lose 3-0 or more to go through.

That is why I am so against Derry, I like the bloke and his attitude but playing him sends out all the wrong messages.

This is very true and very sad, too. But today wasn't helped by the CM that started. Clearly a midfield that contains Derry and Mbia in the centre won't produce the necessary passing or fluidity to reach the frontman. This was evident against WHU and Norwich - HR should have taken this into account, IMO.

Looking back with the wisdom of hindsight something hasn’t been right since the summer of 2011. Whether it all went (further) downhill once Colin left or whether we miss the dubious influence of the Goons who knows. Something isn't right, could be players that have come into the club, could be the owners and their associates, could be the thin hoops or it could be too many horse burgers and nasi goreng. TF's ever enlarging waistline could be the clue?

Something broke in the autumn of 2011 and we can't fix it.

We must play Taarabt in the centre in the hole and let him knit the play together. Give him a free role and play an attacking 4-2-3-1 with attacking players either side of him. Got to go for it!

Agree the league table shows you've been better than us all year. When I say 'should be at least giving a good game to' I'm looking at the bigger picture that we are similar size clubs, who came up in the same year, and we should be competing. Shows how dire things are for us that you are marching on, and you gave us such a thorough spanking and made us look so bad!
