"There was a struggle between Chelsea and [Manchester] United but, for me, Chelsea has the best project. It's a wonderful club."

If I hear one more footballing prick say this, I'll crack up. Doesn't mean anything so why do the idiots persist in saying it?

He is saying £££. Poor kid doesn't have confidence to fight for his place in a big club

It makes more sense when put into context with what Hazard said next...
"The [Chelsea] team is young and I have a better chance to play there."If I play well enough at Chelsea, I could win my place in the starting team."
An admirable sentiment and worthy reason for choosing one team over another.
But I'm very cynical and find it hard to believe that money wasn't the overruling factor in this as per usual.

This. Substitute "bank balance" for "project" and you pretty much have the exact reasons he went to Chelsea. More money and a guaranteed starting place - pretty much what any player would go for. After all, as a wide attacker, would you rather be competing for a place with Nani, Valencia and Young, or Malouda, Benayoun and Meireles?

To me he puts United in the same bracket as Real and Barcelona as one of those elite super clubs that you dont just move to, you have to make that step up.

Clearly he watched Chelsea last season and realised he could be a big fish in a small pond instead of the tadpole he would be in the ocean that is United.

A little, United are bigger than Chelsea, there is zero doubt about this, bigger than Barcelona aswell.

this is pretty bitter, especially when someone like swarbs gets mired also.

Swarbs himself said Hazard would have an easier time getting into Chelsea's starting 11
London to Manchester, no contest in cities for someone with money tbh
    Champions League Champs.
    Money
In that order as both deals would have paid extremely well anyways

Maybe he likes watching people do his wife and chelsea's manager Terry can help with that, though Giggs could have also <laugh>

Bitter bitter speculation posted as facKt

How dare he call us a ''project'', we've won the premier league 12 times we've won the english league 19 times and i could'nt believe he said Chelsea are a young team, what a load of rubbish that is, we have alot of youngsters in our team, they don't, they spent alot of money on Lukaku this time last year and he can't get a geame for them, that club destroys young players career, one thing is for sure, we will finish above Chelsea.

Shouldn't this be in the project thread?

Just a hunch but flooding the board with already covered subjects might have something to do with it.
