Right satudays performance made our problem so obvious it was unbelievable. Once Sol Bamba returns our defence will be solid again. Kasper has got us out of jail on miles too many occasions this season. Jermaine Beckford's work rate looked better when he came on on saturday and that must please Nigel. We know given chances Beckford will score goals as will Nugent. Steve Howard is also back now to increase the options up front but we still need someone in weather its a loan or a permanent signing. But its our midfield which is awful, Andy King is so useless its unbelievable, he does nothing for the team. Richie Wellens is so far off the pace at the minute, weather his legs have gone or hes just in a confidence slump time will tell. Yuki only works with a good strong midfield next to him, he isnt going to get on the ball and boss things because it isnt in his nature. Neil Danns was very poor again on saturday. Lloyd Dyer had a good game on saturday and is always a good option to have but i dont think he is good enough to be first choice everyweek. We need some decent competition for him. The stick Gally got was a bit of a disgrace. He didnt have the best of games on saturday but he was always trying to make things happen unlike other players around him. Some idiots even gave his wife abuse on twitter for it which is completely out of order. If think or whole midfield isnt good enough to be first choice. None of them should leave but i dont think King and Wellens work well together as they are just too slow. Dyer is the only winger we have at the club and that needs to change quickly. Every club needs someone like Paul Gallagher, he had a bad game on saturday and was the baddie with some fans, but i think some people was alot worse then him. But if on saturday he puts a 30 yarder in the top corner again he will be treated like a hero again. Some fans are so fickle its unbelievable. I think the fans are a big problem at the minute at home, they didnt get behind the lads at all on saturday. Its like they turned up expected Barnsley to roll over, the players seem scared off playing at the King Power Stadium at the minute. The fans have been giving abuse to Beckford, Wellens and now Gallagher which is embarrassing. Either abuse the team but dont single out a player. We need Nigel to get in some midfielders and wingers sharpish or this season could be a write off pretty soon
Yeah, when they feel more comfortable away, something is wrong. The expectation is too high imo (although any team would be over optimistic if they had sent £12m in summer), this is where the negative reaction is coming from. I didn't see too much of a defensive problem tbh, yes they were 2 soft goals, but i can't say any of them had a particularly bad game. Bamba would have prob stopped that headed goal though. When Danns plays in the middle, he seems like a great player, for me, hes been played out of position, its Danns or King, not both.
Nigel hasnt closed the door on the Billy Sharp either, I just think we need some midfielders and quick. Im in 2 minds about going tommorow Waste about £30 getting tickets for the same rubbish they did on saturday or just watch it from the internet? Had they put up more of a fight on saturday i would of went no question. I wonder how many people feel the same way
