City come out of this pretty well, so next time you moan about the cost of watching them think of those fans who have to pay to watch Hull City.

Interestingly the Jacks declined to take part. Now I have no idea what it costs to watch a Jack game but what have they got to hide? Perhaps some of our Jack chums can cast some light on this?

Given revenue from match days is now a smaller percentage of the revenue of the club (especially in the premier league) I'm not sure the impact of reducing ticket prices is that great.

At £35 a ticket and 20,000 gate and 23 games a season, that's about £16M. Knocking 10% off wouldn't kill most clubs. Knocking 10% off the wage bill would save more than that.

Surely you'd be better off dropping the ticket price and filling more seats. There's a fixed cost to staging a game irrespective of the crowd size with a marginal cost of bigger crowds (more stewarding?). Once that fixed cost is covered by the size of the crowd, everything else is gravy. If you could reduce tickets by 10% and increase the crowd by 10% you'd be better off.

You are not press ganged into handing over your hard earned cash to millionaires who pay themselves obscene wages. More fool you for doing it. I saw the light after 54 years of paying increased entrance fee's to watch 90 minutes of football and now its not worth the money. Everything today in football is a rip off while those involved are laughing all the way to the bank getting richer by the day. Football is nothing without its fans but clubs are being far too greedy today and they don't care..,,, £20 is more than enough to watch a game of football and even that is a struggle for a lot of families......My advice is to do what i do and not pay a single penny towards football and their greedy ways and watch games on the TV and Web if they are on or listen on the radio......
