I mentioned in a thread, related to Campbell signing, that depending on expectation Campbell would cost us between 50,000 and 75,000 per goal. Now to me no goal is worth that much in the real world.
Now Balotetley has bogged off to Milan I was quite surprised at his cost/goal ratio for the whole time he was at citeh. Based on the beeb report it works out at 800,000 per goal! Plus he's an arse! Hardly a prolific goal scorer and a managers nightmare. Sometimes I am baffled by the football fraternity and Ballbag Balotetley cements my opinion that football finance is mental!

Good entertainment value for fans of other clubs, Taff. I'm sorry to see him go back to Italy.

Nutters like him do brighten up the game for us. Wouldn't have wanted him on our books, not that we could ever afford him unless we had a cheeky loan with the Mancs picking up 95% of the wage bill. Now where have I heard that before with Man City?
