The Press have royally ****ed Joey Barton again!

  1. I've just been watching SSN, and the press have really gone too far this time.

    I hate it how they can take things out of context and claim that they have what the certain person said on tape and they are entitled to publish it. This is correct but i hate it how they can cut out parts of what they said and make assumptions based on what they've recorded.

    There was an interview with Roberto Mancini, and a member of the press said "just one last question Roberto, there's an interesting comment from Joey Barton on your player Gareth Barry. He doesn't think much of him and said he he has no pace".

    How is this allowed? Joey obviously said this in an interview and there was obviously more to it than that.

    This is going to make Joey Barton look like more of a complete prick and gain him more negative publicity. I doubt Barton said "i don't think much of him", that's not like Joey and it's obviously just been put in as an assumption from the media. In fact, i bet it's not even a direct quote, they've just made it up because Barton gave his opinion on him having " the pace of a tortoise".

    Why are the media allowed to do this? It's like if i say i think Shola is slow as **** and has no skill, the media are allowed to say "RIP Bartons Tash doesn't think Shola is that great and said he has no pace and skill". Just because i have an opinion on a certain players attributes, doesn't mean i think he's an overall **** player, and it doesn't mean i have a lower opinion on him.

    Joey has obviously said in his opinion that Gareth Barry has no pace, but it doesn't mean he doesn't think much of him. And in fact the press bloke said "he doesn't think much of him, he said he has the pace of a tortoise". How can they just make up **** about what Joey thinks about a player when Joey didn't even say "i don't think much of him".

    Media = ******s.

    I'm used to it now, i never expect anything less when it comes to Barton and the press. It's really not worth getting angry about. We all know Barton has been better than Gerrard, Lampard, Barry etc and as long as he plays ok for the Toon then long may it continue. Really can't be ****ed with Capello and the FA right now.

    Where has he told a lie here? Modric and Nasri are very good. Wilshire isnt bad. Lampard isn't as prolific as he was a couple of seasons ago and Gerrard is always injured.

    Him, Wilshire and Parker have been the stand out English CM's this season.
