Yep. Love this group of players, but there's not the same balance there was last season, and add to that a new gaffer finding his feet (and formation) then I think top ten would be a massive achievement.
So bookmark if you will, but we'll be more likely 6th from bottom.......sadly.

Err, not just us who didn't get a mention......17 other teams as well. And as for finishing 6th, well I'll attend a pompey match in my underpants if we achieve that this season.

It's never going to change, just have to get use to it. Carragher on our game said "no offence, but United will play better teams this season." - that made me chuckle.

You know we'll hold you to that. :)
Tell the team....what an incentive. To make it really interesting, the underpants should be in red and white stripes. What could possibly go wrong.<devil>

Apologies all - pedant alert!
I've noticed an easy technicality/out for HR here....

The original quote merely states: 'pompey match in my underpants'. So while many other things may seem implied. Because of the lack of any of the following words: 'home', 'just', or 'only'; HR would only need to ensure that he hasn't accidentally borrowed anybody else's underpants for such a day, and he could indeed attend any Pompey match either home or away fully clothed.

In the light of such evidence, and in the event it actually happens, a £10/20 donation to charity seems fair, along with the minimum obligations.

Tony Pulis has said he didn't get the marquee signings that he wanted. Said it would be wrong to suggest the 5 players he bought were ones he wanted. Cannot believe he said that....rather cover his back and get his excuses in early than bother about the feelings and confidence of his new players.

Alternatively they could be fired up now to prove him wrong?

I do agree it's not a good thing to say in public.
