Before we get too optimistic, a quick reminder :- 13:30 Everton v Southampton:- Referee - Mark Clattenburg: - Assistants = S Beck & S Child - 4th Official J Adcock

West Brom in talks with Pepe Mel, the former Real Betis manager. He was sacked earlier this season, and they sit bottom of la liga. Difficult to predict what he is like I suppose, but could be another Pochettino. Or not.

No he didn't he got both red cards right, both penalties right. You could even argue he got the handball decision right.

First red was incorrect, there was a handball before the first Newcastle goal, and their second goal the ball went out of play, in all honesty I think he had an absolutely shocking display.

How is the referee to blame for the ball out of play? That's the assistant's job. And the first red was correct, how could he not give a second yellow for that challenge? The first yellow could have been given for anything, like dissent, kicking the ball away etc.

Does my brain deceive me or haven't quite a few managers been given the boot over the last year after losing to us?!

*Edit* now that I've had a quick search it seems I'm just confused. Ignore me please :P

I think the final nail in his coffin was when he came out and said they were buying in January. Tan was not going to give him any money, though he will now have to give at least some money to the new manager. It does sound as if the money spent in the summer was more than Tan wanted because of add ons...this may be because of Tan's unfamiliarity with football or failure by the executives charged with sorting out transfers. The payments to Cornelius seem excessive. The agent fees wouldn't have got by Nicola as it is a particular bee in his bonnet. Tbf...Saints have also had a few transfers that don't work out...true for most teams I would think

WEST HAM: Jaaskelainen; O'Brien, Tomkins, Rat, McCartney; Jarvis, Noble, Diame, J.Cole; Nolan; C. Cole.

WEST BROM: Foster; Lugano, McAuley, Olsson; Jones, Morrison, Mulumbu, Brunt, Ridgewell; Anelka, Berahino.

This game has 0-0 written all over it. Though, if McAuley is playing at right-back, Jarvis or whoever could potentially have a field day against him, he's slow as ****.
