Oh wow...Norwich scores with seconds remaining when they were to pass it back to Cardiff after an injury.

Edit: heh, and the referee calls it back on a technicality.

I'd like to know what the technicality was, since there's nothing in the rulebook about that passing back stuff so the referee is really powerless to intervene. Would have been hard on Cardiff after last week though!

He stated that he had not given the signal to restart play...heh, he seemed perfectly fine with play being restarted until the ball ended up in the net.

By the sounds of it he should have allowed the goal. You can't disallow a goal just because it's "unsporting".

Ref's probably saved everyone a lot of hassle by using his brain. I like it.

One day someone will score a goal like that which will decide a title or relegation spot, and hell will breakout. They should change the rule so that the ref can give a goal kick/drop ball on the centre spot/kick off/whatever so that sort of thing can't happen.

What the **** is Mark Hughes on about? Hernandez should have been sent off? Pathetic from Hughes.

Hanson on Arsenal's upcoming schedule: "they've got Liverpool home, Manchester United, that tough one against Southampton at home..."

Yeah, that's the one I'd single out, too.

Nice cross, bet Fletcher's booking for celebration will haunt him later.

If Sunderland pretended that every team was Newcastle, they'd be safe by February.

The standard here is pretty awful. I'm struggling with the kit clash too so it just looks like 22 men clattering into each other and hoofing the ball to me

After a half of playing committed (if not terribly skillful) football, Sunderland decides that the day would not be complete without a galling defensive lapse.
