Just had a look and you are correct.....Bobby left Utd to become the Preston manager then became player/manager the season after.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...Ronald-Koeman-s-strongman-act-turns-sour.html Interesting article about Koeman. Says that even after Saints finished 6th, some players were trying to get out without even wanting a pay rise because they couldn't stand Koeman. They mention his insistence on coaches being served food before players as a sign he treated them like children....I remember this story at Saints and he is still doing it at Everton.
Interview with Vidic in the Sunday Times today. Says Rickie was the dirtiest player he played against Turns out because he elbowed him once and Vidic has a long memory. Not long enough that he could remember Rickie’s name kind you, if you read the piece.
If Arsenal had any sort of steel about them, they'd just brush that off and continue where they left off. Treat it as nothing more than a small inconvenience. A bit like when City conceded those two goals vs Stoke. But knowing Arsenal, there's a risk that they fall apart now.
Interesting side story there, about Everton’s Europa game. Koeman wanted 10 minutes stoppage time and the ref said “If you had 15 minutes you wouldn’t score”.
Even without the red card, Arsenal thoroughly deserve that. Surely their best performance of the season.
1-3, Everton in bottom 3 Sell your best player, spend 142m, in bottom 3, great to be at a club with ambition.
For a long time now I have compared Fonte with Williams. And true to form, both are being badly exposed in their new teams (and on the wrong side of 30). A well drilled team, who keep the ball well, and have talented players, can make lesser players look better. Both players have also lost the security blanket of playing in surroundings that they know inside out.
Plea to Everton owners. I know that having spent such a huge amount of money in the summer on top of all that compensation you paid us, you expected a top 6 finish but please don't sack Koeman, as this is fun. Besides, you won't find a manager as loyal.
I suspect this means as of tomorrow I can go back to having no particular feelings about Everton. 2-5 FT.
Another Arsenal game, another day for Theo to sit it out on the bench. I might make this a regular thing. Come home, Theo.
You’d imagine so. Looks like he doesn’t want to be there and is just waiting for the payout. Overrated wally.
I think it depends on who’s available. I’d imagine their fans will expect/want Ancelotti because they are such a huge club, they’ll probably end up with Unsworth
