Is Williams likely to be fit?, surely we want to ease him in rather than risking him breaking down again.
Ashton, that's my worry as well. We have to put our faith in the medical set up. Would prefer Atkinson to Vyner and if fit, I'd find a place for James. I look forward with interest how our WBs play.
played "100mins" Sat! been looking at various "past events" ref: players and coaching staff, trolling a few of the old interviews ... in sort of "duke of wellington" style. Opportunities lost far far far out weighs those gained since SC took us down and back again from Div 1 The influence MA had actually comes out about 49.5/50.5 on the negative side. But most of the positives seriously affected managers ability to achieve fully the potential of a settled team. Managers ... wait for it!!!! put the names of 20 managers in a hat then drew 7 [ from prem, 12 : past, 4, : and 4 bandied about on here ]. result on playing careers basically came out at 2 forwards; 3 midfielders 2 defenders [ Wilder/ Dyche ] SirAF was only from past, other 4 currently in Prem. ... we BCFC have 2 defenders currently in charge ... [will check and see how many successful managers are defenders or full backs ] Although only projections ... SC was doomed to fail and not just his fault ... LJ and DH both had the balance on their sides. To early to predict NP although his past history is just negative and time at BCFC is out of balance having a defender as assistant. DH actually came out best balanced with PS /KD. NP "credited with setting up Leics" was followed by 1 trick pony CLAUDIO R ! [ defender ] something like 22 clubs in 34 years!! IMO we have been to impatient at least twice, maybe 3 times in last 13 years or just plain unlucky!!!!
they have nursed him a couple extra weeks! ... could have had game time pre the November break ... say last 20 mins or so ... have to get stuck in from the start and get 2 goals before half time .. I have us for 3-1 in my 5 selections!! Note you reckon 2-2 in your 4 selections to get 2 goals will need our best players
No point starting him if he only lasts 20 mins and is then out for a month or so. I’d much rather start him maybe once a week for a while, before gradually using him more often.
As I've said before...I would always start with my best available 11.......hopefully to get a grip on the game, early..
How Bristol City's ever-present force of nature never stops running for the Robins Bristol City forward Andi Weimann has earned the trust and respect of three consecutive managers at Ashton Gate and, at 30, is on pace for his best-ever goalscoring season https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/how-bristol-citys-ever-present-6249857
no good trying to guess whether he is NOT fit enough! to start .. we go a goal or 2 down he comes on we get the possession the shots and lose by a goal! He starts we get a goal or 2 he lasts or is subbed after 60 mins and we win by a goal 2 scenario's. the best team "should" share the work load, take pressure off others as part. One of NP comments revolved around the dynamo HNM runs after everything. I do not see everygame, occassionally get gifted the whole match! and after NP's comments managed to watch back again a couple and can see what he means ... player passes [ either side but not to HNM ] and HNM is like a dog chasing a stick ...or ball! As NP says, HNM knows it and needs to control it! Fit enough to start but for the teams sake was kept back! SO best team starts.......
Bristol City predicted team vs Stoke City: Matty James decision, Han-Noah Massengo to return Nigel Pearson's Bristol City welcome Stoke City and former Robins manager Dean Holden to Ashton Gate https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/bristol-city-predicted-team-stoke-6253208 Bristol City likely line-up (3-5-2): Dan Bentley; Zak Vyner, Tomas Kalas, Nathan Baker; Alex Scott, Tyreeq Bakinson, Joe Williams, Han-Noah Massengo, Callum O’Dowda; Andi Weimann, Chris Martin
He did not, thankfully SL intervened, otherwise he would have. A very good L1 manager, but just not up to the Championship anymore.
'Out thought tactically by Steve Cotterill with 10 men, one of the worst mangers in Safc history' Who can they be talking about ?
