Now that there is a vacancy arising for the role of Pope, I am sure
Scotland will have plenty of suitable candidates. Unfortunately
Hugh Dallas probably ruled himself out, after his extraordinary
behaviour during the Pope visit to Britain , possibly running his
eye over a replacement. Maybe Mr dignity Walter Smith would
be a contender but maybe he would need a quick conversion to
the Roman Catholic Church. If Rome finances are in need of
topping up maybe they should go for Peter Lawwell, but maybe
Dermot Desmond might only be prepared to let him go to Rome
    Part time.

The role of the Pope is open for all decent Roman Catholic men with dignity.
I don't know of anyone from the Govan club that has any of these attributes .
Some people said Walter was a man of dignity, if that is right then he would
only have to Convert to Catholicism to have a chance to become Scotland's
    first Pope.
Trevor, I wouldn't get too much heated up , even though he may make
himself eligible. It is unlikely he will be selected as they always seem to
choose someone from the higher echelons of the Church
