The Truss debacle is still having effect now!! My mortgage payments are evidence of that!
Things might not be better under labour, but they certainly can't be any worse. Bring on the election. It's with the help of people like yourself that we will finally oust this corrupt lot.

Bob, interest rates are high to control inflation. Truss didn't create globally high inflation.

I'll give Labour a clean sheet when they come in (despite all Starmer's U turns), so we'll see. The sooner the GE, the better imo

No she just sent a massive unnecessary shockwave through the markets. My mortgage went up by 280 a month due to this.

I got to agree with this.
The Tory party loaded the Party with people who agreed in principle with Johnsons views, and his Brexit values. A lot of the old guard Tories were got rid of.

Don't get me wrong, I do not hold old Tory economics values, but they knew what they were doing ( from their point if view). They were careful with the economy, they had values about community and about the truth.

Boris bought in a culture of lies, spin and a considerable lack of forethought and intellectual decision making. That is still there.

If the Tories do lose, they need to get themselves sorted out. A government is only as good as their opposition. Starmer will be a much better PM if he has a Tory party challenging him.

( Yes a bad Labour opposition is one reason Boris was allowed to run wild)

Blinkered and naive Beth.
Politicians in this country have been generally poor for decades, not just since Boris, who was a terrible PM I agree.

On the bright side our public services are infinitely better and cheaper than our peers. You can have your teeth seen to in 2027 if you call now and wait half an hour for them to pick up the phone. Get a nice early appointment so you can get that £50 train into work after.

So the global financial crash was caused by Gordon Brown according to you. <laugh>

Liz Truss managed to cause more damage to the UK economy all on her own.

The global financial crash mitigated well by Brown. Honestly that ****ing note these spanners still mention.

Followed by the global pandemic the Tories saw as an opportunity to make a few quid and maybe pretend to give a **** about whether your nan dies or not if there’s time.

He played his part in causing it but even a rancid old UKIPper like you can’t honestly argue he reacted to it badly.

I couldn’t be bothered to reply to your four day week post. It made no sense.

**** off you insignificant little ****. Brown deregulated the banks, sold off the gold, double the debt and then when 2008 came, the UK economy was highly vulnerable.

Now, off you go and vote for your Islam worshipping Labour Party, like the Christmas-voting turkey you are

Brilliant that

Sir Geoffrey Cox was on Newsnight last speaking pompous bollocks about the parliamentary protocol shambles on Monday until Barry Sheerman pointed out that Cox himself had been instrumental in the illegal proroguing of the whole parliament. Cue much spluttering from Cox.

Sold off the gold. Another one for gammon bingo.

They have been poor but Johnson and his crew just dropped it to non league level. Corruption, cover ups galore. At least he made his mates richer whilst in power, that was his priority.

Or, if for those who aren't Christmas turkeys, "proven antisemite for whom Labour have publicly withdrawn support in the Rochdale by election, dines with Labour"

It doesn’t look like they’re out on the piss. It’s a council meeting. Should he eat in a separate room just in case some Tory gimp like Tom Harwood tweets a pic to the sort of idiots who lap this kind of thing up?
