Never mind the cost of living crisis, the NHS crisis, the care homes crisis, the mortgage crisis and the utter and complete failure of Brexit. The cat thing is vitally important stuff and the next election should be fought on this issue.

Yeah, the MSM should have suppressed it

It’s a shame we can’t have a genuine debate on here, and instead resort to petty jibes at each other.
“ Woke to the left of me…..gammon to the right….here I am, stuck in the middle”

Genuine question…what did you think of the recording ?
For me, the girls concerned came across as articulate, self confident in their beliefs and argued their case well.
Whereas the teacher came across as a bit of a bully.

I agree more with the girls than the teacher who I think overreacted. I just find the headlines a bit sensationalist relative to what was actually said.

It’s probably not a coincidence coverage of things like this or the trans ‘debate’ spike when the Tories are in a mess.

Yeah totally……It’s quite obvious that there wasn’t a pupil who wanted to identify as a cat, but the kids were using that as an example of the whole bizarre nature of what they were being told. As least that’s how I remember it was said.
But sensational headlines sell papers…always been the same

All the newspapers are reporting that this whole spat started when a pupil wanted to identify as a cat. That was real. Mad as it sounds, this is an example of where woke is taking us.

Just listened to it again….and the girls, in my opinion, use the example of identifying as a “cat or something” as part of their argument about different genders…and there is nothing to say that there was a pupil saying she/he/they were a cat.

The Times: "The three minute tape begins just after a classmate is heard saying they identified as a cat, leading another student to say: "How can you identify as a cat when you're a girl?"

Just been listening to BBC 2 Politics Today. All accept the first pupil did want to identify as a cat.

Again, have you listened to the recording. A simple yes or no will suffice
