Today I’ll be voting for my local independent candidate and the Liberal candidate.
When they came over canvassing, I did say that I am definitely not a Liberal and disagree with many Liberal policies, however if it can get rid of the current Tory shyster, it wouldn’t be a bad thing.
Unfortunately the TUSC candidate is standing in a neighbouring ward.

Don't forget your ID

The need for photo id...brought in by this government is disgusting.

I would like someone to assess how many legitimate voters who have forgotten their id there are vs the number of illegal false identity voter there were.

Remember every polling station is manned by people who can recognise people turning up multiple times.

Pretty sure there are more MPs who have been done for sex offences since the last election than accusations of voter fraud. Something like that. It’s just another thing out of the Trump playbook.

There are loads of ways of voting fraudulently if you really want to anyway with no chance of detection. How many people fill out the postal vote of their spouse or elderly parents without bothering to ask which way they want their vote to go? Probably loads.

The people who man polling stations, and bless them for giving up their time to do it, can’t be expected to handle angry would-be voters who they try and turn away or potential queues if the process is slowed down. It’ll probably be alright today with a low turnout but could be chaos when we eventually get a General Election.

Eating locally doesn't help you recognize people
Unless you are strollers cannibals

How many people don't have some form of id

And carry it with them, is probably a better question

I have only recently ( probably about 5 years ago) got a photo id driving licence...I had a paper one before that.

I never used to carry it with me too

There must be loads of thing's you can't do without id
How long have people known id will be required to be able to vote
Probably even been given access to free id too

Rubbish.
It's been all over social media, written media and TV news for weeks and weeks.

Morning mate. Sounds like a lot of people weren’t aware of it. Probably not helped by various Tory leaflets giving people the wrong and sometimes complete opposite information they were meant to have.

Don't know anything about the leaflets. We haven't had any.
Not sure Labour have exactly covered themselves in glory with their recent leaflets.
They're all as bad as each other.

Don't agree. It's always amazed me that you can turn up and say you're anybody (of the same sex, presumably) and be able to vote.

Photo ID is used all over the world. We're catching up at last.
