What I would like to see Stainsey, is a general strike (except for the NHS) in solidarity of a reasonable raise....2.5% would suit my thoughts (I would like to give more but realise in these times maybe not possible).
It is a daydream, because the working population is too scared of losing their jobs, and being replaced by the many people on the dole. That we get every week from not is what the Tories are counting on.
Anyway, there must be money we were promised 50,000 new nurses and 50 new hospitals in the money we save from Brexit, surely that money would pay for a pay rise
Totally agree with the General strike Beth...and again, agree that others circumstances would not facilitate any action like that. However I can honestly see industrial action taking place. People are angry and feel undervalued. There are thousands of positions left unfilled ‘cos people don’t want the work...or leave within a few years as it’s draining. Maybe that’s why we have to recruit in Australia and the Far East for our medics and nurses.
Don’t let Brexit cloud your vision.....those rich old men wouldn’t of been our allies and would have been happy to continue eating from the trough.
As I’ve said before...one enemy down.....now for the real battle.
