My daughter worked at St Tiggywinkles the wildlife hospital and one day she took me back stage to meet Rosie, who was a young adult female badger who had been orphaned and then raised in Tiggywinkles.
When let out of her pen, she came bounding over to play, knocking us flying. We played with her about 20 minutes and it was real rough and tumble stuff, her bounding over and her throwing her considerable weight at us . It was just like playing with a frisky large labrador who was on speed and was twice as heavy. She never bit us (we were all wearing heavy duty gloves) but that was more luck than judgment cause she was so excited. The main effort was getting her back in the pen afterwards as she did not want to go...and so she didn't.
One of my very best memories ever
