It's not about wiping the floor with anyone, who wins what etc it's about the lies and misleading information this government feeds the general public on a daily basis. Its corrupt, disgusting and shouldn't be allowed to happen! Some need to take their blinkers off!!!
What are they hoping to gain from it all

My thoughts on Starmer first PMQs

I thought he comes across better than Jezza (which isn’t hard) but lacks charisma.

A good component start but needs to stop using individual cases as examples. Jezza did the same with his emails ‘from Joan in Upminster’.

Starmer missed a chance to push on the testing. If that had been Cameron/Blair, they would have smelt blood and gone for the kill. That’s the difference. He just moved on to the next part of the script.

Once again he didn't push Raab on the Carehome figures and said "okay I will wait until next week" <doh>

Starmer also got slapped down on the last question when he thought he knew better than our scientific and health experts. :emoticon-0184-tmi:

Overall he did okay but I felt he was holding back too much and didn’t want to commit. It’s too early to really get a good feel for him but for me, he should have been harder on Raab.
Easy ride for Raab today.

Starmer very impressive today, imo. What a difference from Comrade Corbyn who let the Govt get away with it week after week after week.

Thank goodness. Let's hope he keeps it up.

Edit - Was particularly refreshing that he took on the statements Raab made and deconstructed them. Corbyn used to basically ignore the response given and stick to his scripted questions irrespective of the response he'd heard. Guess the legal training helps Starmer in this kind of format.

But how many years to the next election

Just under 5 years.

I thought Starmer was good today - struck the right note, constructive in his criticism which the electorate will expect.

He lacks charisma but is forensic in his approach. Boris has a big personality but is poor on detail. Boris will have a lot more on his hands at Parliamentary QT than when Jezza was Labour leader (not that that is difficult)

Yes, his legal training will help him. Even today he picked up on something Raab said but sadly never pushed him. Today we can only compare Starmer to the useless Corbyn and that he wasn't up against Boris... for all his mumbling and blah blah blah actually would be a tougher opponent.
talking of Jezza... he had a question from the backbench today which was weird.

I have to agree.

Today we will see at his first PMQ's how good or cr2p Starmer is.
No Boris so Raab will deputise. On a normal day, Raab would wipe the floor with him but this is all going to be about Coronavirus so Raab may struggle?
If Starmer doesn't score 100% with some of the government failings then he will be another loser like Jezza.

Where do you get this utter bollocks from? Raab’s glittering record of witty public speaking? The bloke has to read the card in front of him every other word.

Watford, stop being silly. If you knew anything about Raab you would understand. This (coronavirus briefing is not a strong point for him however in the Tory circles he is highly respected. He is First/Foreign Secretary FFS!
