It’s not point scoring. It’s stating what seems like an obvious issue. By quantifiable metrics, Italy were in a better place in terms of capacity for this than we are. I wouldn’t expect any nation to be able to fully cope with what they’ve gone through which sounds dreadful but under the same circumstances we’re all different levels of ****ed. If our infection rate gets to the same level as theirs and I don’t honestly see why it wouldn’t, logically we aren’t equipped to cope with it even to the level they have.
Not everything is quantifiable though and we might be relatively ok. Logically I don’t see why we should be though. Attitudes here are comparable to what they were there not long ago.
