I wonder just how high pitched the screeching will become if Boris is PM.

Very entertaining .

An odd post, but if there is any screeching it will most likely be coming from his own side I would expect.

It will certainly be entertaining to watch him destroy the Conservative & Unionist Party. I'm relishing the prospect.

You couldn't be more wrong.
Boris is probably the only one who could currently beat Corbyn, thus saving the Tories.

What fun.

If there was a General Election tomorrow Johnson might win, but he's going to have some time to **** things up first and people will see him for what he is. By the time he's forced into calling an election, the Tories will be doomed. Fun indeed.

Just like he did when innocent civilians were poisoned by Putin's cronies, even when the evidence was patently clear, Corbyn refused to criticise the Russians just as here he sides with a regime that tortures and imprisons it's own people rather than with our allies. You really have to wonder how someone who has no skills whatsoever in diplomacy can be a contender to be our Prime Minister. The man who would have appeased Hitler is a joke...

So it comes down to Trump V Putin yet again
Boris V Corbyn

Both difficult choices

Not imo

I suspect he will get his chance to beat Corbyn pretty quickly. He won’t be able to renegotiate the deal in the time available and is the person the EU will be least inclined to discuss anything with. He would face ridicule if he asks for another extension. Even he must realise that a no deal without parliament’s support will lead to a constitutional crisis which will be the end of him, so calling an election in the hope of getting loads of Tories pathetically thankful to him into jobs will be his get out of jail attempt.

As I no longer care about the outcome, what fun indeed. Even better fun if Johnson is humiliated in the process. I hope someone asks him in the debate ‘how many kids have you got?’ In the past he has tried to prevent this being discussed. The answer is, apparently, 7.

How dare he side with Iran, who we’ve chosen as this years enemy...instead of Saudi Arabia who are this years friend........I mean, the Saudi regime would never dream of ‘torturing and imprisoning (and executing) it’s own people.

Might have something to do with the fact he has been employed by Iranian State TV as well as Russia Today, a useful idiot indeed...

Point missed (or ignored) in a somewhat spectacular fashion

Not really, I've criticised our relationship with the Saudis on here before. It's when a political dogma is put ahead of what's patently obvious. It's also what happens when the more extremer elements of either Left or Right Wing are in the ascendency as now...

Fair play to Rory, he's certainly the most impressive of the Tory leadership candidates, unfortunately the blue-rinse brigade would never have him as leader. The centre ground in British politics is tumbleweed at present...

Is the evidence patently clear ? We have seen dodgy videos from the CIA before, including ones which proved comprehensively that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. The fact is that the USA is looking for war and would love to be able to paint Iran as the aggressor - so Corbyn is right in expressing caution in this case. Apparently he should rattle sabres along with everybody else to support a so called ally which has, itself, become the biggest threat to World peace.
