I wish I could copy and paste from one site to here ggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrr,
Just saw a post on Facebook from a friend, it’s a screenshot of a tweet by Guy Verhofstadt on pushing and suggesting that what the EU needs to do is basically expand into Africa creating a powerhouse union between the Eu /Africa to tap into the billions that can be made from the African continent that could rival The Chinese and Asian markets.
If this is true is there actually no shame in the man and his blatant desire for European domination and the European superstate.

All the talk from some on here of May having failed to deliver on Brexit because she is a Remainer at heart is wholly wrong in my view. Where she went wrong is in pursuing the hardest of hard Brexits and refusing to consider a compromise that would have given something to the 48%. Had she done so, instead of pandering to the ERG loons, she would have had a deal by now. The reason she didn't was of course because she has put the preservation of the Tory party before the best interests of the country.

Oh, and she's ****ing useless.
No argument about that. At all. Once she lost her majority in the GE she should have sought to unite the country around a workable compromise but no, it had to be her way or not at all - a way based on appeasing the zealots in her own party and pandering to the interests of 11 DUP MPs who did not reflect the balance of opinion in Northern Ireland.

Stroller stop trying to change what we are talking about. You are now trying to shift the attention away from Corbyn to the tories... stick to Corbyn as he is the one in question. funny I always seem to get accused of that yet everyone else doesn't?

Actually it's very relevant as its judging the same situation in reverse i.e. for the tories.

That's a bit harsh Stroller. She doesn't go out stabbing people. Plenty of knife crimes under Labour, plenty of knife crimes not reported.
The majority of knife crime is gang related. She doesn't create those gangs. Plenty of gangs under Labour.
I grew up in a rough area where a school friend was attacked by a gang and stabbed to death. Great kid who was only walking home from Cadets. No matter how many police you have out there it comes down to families, morales and respect. These knife killers have none of these. More police won't change it, especially when prison is not a real deterrent.

Agree with this. I think youth services are important but the end of the day everyone should play a part and ultimately it is down to the individual. You cant just blame may or the tories

Stainsey, I said let you have the case against Corbyn on antisemitism. As I have said, Corbyn's antisemitism does not involve overt acts like burning down synagogues. It's aggression and threats and turning a blind eye carried out by his "supporters", sometimes close supporters. A fish rots from the head down, and it's Corbyn's failure to act against racist threats against Jewish people (particularly Jewish MP's) that is seen as implicit approval.

This recent BBC post is a good summary of the case against Corbyn:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-45030552

To summarise:

1. Jewish Voice for Labour said in the past 10 months, 453 cases of antisemitism have been investigated in the Labour Party, yet close Corbyn ally Chris Williamson said Labour had been over apologetic. Corbyn was reluctant to remove Williamson until put under pressure by the likes of Tom Watson.

2. Luciana Berger has, in the words of Watson, been bullied out of the party by racist thugs. Corbyn did nothing. Berger needed a police escort when she attended the Labour Conference in 2018. Corbyn did nothing.

3. Corbyn refused to comply with the Holocaust Remembrance Guidelines, so watering down the definition of antisemitism

4. Corbyn accused British Zionists of "no sense of English Irony."

5. In 2014, Corbyn honoured the terrorists that tortured and murdered 11 Israeli athletes at the 1972 Munich Olympics.

6.Corbyn sent a supportive message to the artist responsible for an obviously antisemitic mural in 2012

7. Corbyn ordered disciplinary action against Jewish MP Margaret Hodge when she claimed he was antisemitic, rather than trying to understand her complaint. The action was later quietly dropped.

Watson acknowledges the antisemitism in the Labour Party. Even Mcdonnell does. Corbyn ordered a review by an insider, Shami Chakrabarti, who delivered what is widely seen as a whitewash and was rewarded with a seat in the House of Lords.

Goldie this then emphasises my point, it’s not that Corbyn is ‘Anti-Semitic’ per se, more that he hasn’t done enough to tackle ‘Anti-Semitism’ ?
To that I would say yes, maybe he should of done more but could that not also be down to being down to his leadership qualities rather than being ‘Anti-Semitic’, as many like to accuse him of ?
As I’ve said before, I’d rather have McDonnell as leader due to his characteristics and probable stronger leadership.......
Another thing we should not forget is that it’s well known that the problem also exists in the Conservative party, conveniently forgotten by some, with many showing support for regimes like the one in Hungary under Victor Orban which is well known for its Anti-Semitic views.

Anyway, lunch break almost over and back to the pain

Just looked back through the posts and see Stroller said almost the same....glad I am on the same wavelength as someone I consider sensible.

What a nasty little twat Michael Heseltine is. Being interviewed on Sky news banging on about asking the people again Kay Burley said "well we did, and 52% voted to leave" so he says "well many of the old have died and replaced by younger voters who want to remain" what a desperate twat! I am glad Burley pointed out that polls show a higher leave margin if we voted again and he just mumbled on about giving the people the chance.
I wish I had been there and asked him why he isn't dead yet?

I did say I wouldn't reply on Corbyn and his jew problem however, just to say....
So anyone who questions you is not sensible? TBH Staines both I and Goldie have produced evidence that shows Corbyn does have a problem with Jews, while you have nothing to counter it with other than saying you don't believe it? I would rather believe the facts in front of me.

Jeremy Corbyn: I was present at wreath-laying but don't think I was involved <doh>

Isn't it quite sad that in such serious matters, Gove the slimy treacherous weasel, decides to crack jokes about saubry. These Tories are disgusting in my opinion. Absolute bollox they've made of this.

In all honesty Bob all sides of the commons from tories to labour via the greens and liberals to the DUP have made an absolute bollox of it, they all voted to give a referendum, they then had a GE and ran on manifestos of delivering Brexit, they then voted by a large majority to leave on the 29th March at 11pm, at that point though they all started playing politics and games of one upmanship and point scoring and forgot everything in order to screw each other.
They are all as bad as each other, yes May has made a right Horlicks of it, Comrade Jezzbollah has changed his mind more often than a prozzie changers her knickers, and ****er Cable has doing nothing but call for a people’s vote / second referendum / cancel Brexit every 5 minutes.
Instead of all pulling in one direction and doing as the majority asked they all turned into spoilt little children, all claiming it was their ball and nobody else could play with it.
