I watched Owen Jones and Mad Ann getting this stick on TV/Twitter and TBH Owen was playing up to them (plus he is a twat and deserves a bit of stick). Anna seemed to have too many of them crowding around her.

I find a lot of his comments off the wall, like when he said a million Indians sacrificed their lives during the Second World War, not to fight Nazism, but for the "European Project". He may be sincere, I don't know

Whatever he meant that’s a massive underestimate. Over 2 million Bengalis starved to death in 1943 in a famine which the vast majority of historians agree was man made, as the colonial authorities diverted resources away from Bengal towards the war effort.
Elsewhere, and avoiding Brexit like the plague, I sat up straight this morning when the speaker on Thought for the Day claimed that the objectives of religion and science are the same. Surely they are exact opposites - religion offers an explanation of why everything is like it is through faith, an exclusive and complete worldview no more questions needed; science investigates how things work the way they do through rationality, a literally never ending pluralistic quest which does not pretend to offer an answer to the ‘why’ question. Of course in this segment there is no challenge to the speaker.
Hardly comparable, is it? A group of fat yobs shouting in a woman’s face can’t be ok on any level.

Actually Stroller according to the organisers it was a success but I did expect the usual suspects to make it sound like a farce. The lorry drivers got £550 each for the driving.

I'm not making a comparison. Soubry inflames tension with the Right wing headbangers. She says she's comfortable with ignoring a democratic referendum vote. She's called for elected MP's in the Tory Party to be expelled as a block. She thought it amusing to state that Farage looked like someone had their finger up his arse and he was enjoying it. All these things inflame a situation so I'm not surprised the headbangers are targetting her
