Johnson was banging on last night about how this will be the first time for 1000 years that Britain wasn't able to make its own laws. So we could when we were still in the EU then? What was all that 'take back control' stuff all about? If May's deal is worse than we had before, we might as well call it all off, eh?

I'll bet that the leaders of the 27 have no such worries in backing the deal brokered by their professional negotiators.
Although I totally agree with your points on May, and she really has cocked up (it seems). I also think that the EU is 2222ing themselves at the moment. Forget NI....They are not the financial power that we are. The EU don't want a UK (England) to be able to strike good deals as other member states will leave.
The EU also has many major problems at the moment. Hungary, Poland, Romania all causing problems... France and Macron. Germany and Merkel and most importantly Italy who will probably break the Euro. if you add Brexit into that I can see the ending of the EU.
If May sells us out it will ruin the Tories... If the Remoaners get another vote it wil kill democracy... If we can't strike a deal it will show everyone (even the Die hard Euro lovers in the UK) that you cant leave the EU and they will not let you leave.
I see a no deal Brexit as a better option in parts.

Stroller we can't call it off because article 50 was triggered and under the law you can't just say 'okay we will forget leaving". Although the EU will be having a meeting regarding this will always want us in (why lose the cash cow that keeps it going)? However, they won't allow us back without joining the Euro and us giving up more powers. This would never be accepted. saying that it probably would be acceptable by the usual EU loving freaks like Vince Cable. Also, people forget that countries like France and co want to benefit from us leaving by trying to take our business... There really is no way back now and that's what Corbyn has been saying. People need to accept that we are leaving the gang of 27 and going it alone. We made the choice now we need to implement it.
There is however a silver lining... The EU won't last long without us and a new trading block will emerge.

I wonder how many of those people that rushed to get an Irish passport realise that they have just signed up to Compulsory conscription for them (if young enough) and their kids when this Euro army gets going? <yikes>

Where do you get the idea of conscription from Ellers ? Nearly all EU. nations only have professional armies these days, so why should this be different for a European Army ?

Was I also wrong about the EU army? You really don't know. Go away, do your research then come back with something interesting.

I think that it is you that should be doing more research before mouthing it off in this way Ellers. Your text drew in the example of conscription as a basis for a European Army - of all 28 EU. member states only 4 have compulsory military service: Greece, Cyprus, Sweden (just reinstated) and Lithuania. Which means that the norm is only to have a professional army. What is NATO other than an international army ? There you have mostly joint manouevres involving international forces, why should a European Army be any different to this ? It happens very rarely that countries take unilateral military action these days so it makes sense to have international coordination.

There is no army it doesn’t exist

It may do in the future but then again so what?

You probably read it somewhere and then you published it with your nationalist self obsession

One thing is for sure thank his you aren’t getting what you voted for . In fact I believe you had no idea what you voted for?

I challenge directly that the 52% now face the task of rebuilding our country. Based on the comedy of current UK politics and more than half the country full of resentment against the Brexiteers how are you going to do that ?

You read about the army and published it along with a heap of useless bias crap

Brilliant skills

I thought I put you on ignore.
However
The thing that you seem to forget (due to your love of the EU) is that when this EU army gets going it won't want NATO.
How do you think they are going to replace the US and the UK forces?
They will make compulsory conscripts and even then won't match the US.
As for Germany building an army? I thought the idea was to stop them building an army not running it.

What is more important is we all know that certain EU countries are very good at fighting and the EU keeps expanding east. Let's see how tough they are when Russia starts pushing them around.

Might be a good thing considering all the youth knife crime recently
eer no bob. If you try and replace the US or Nato you are shooting yourself in the foot.
Macron is an idiot. He is a 'Euro freak' who is surrounded by people with lots of medals and no experience. He is driven by this dream that the EU will be some global force to rival the US/China/Russia and it won't. Unlike the other countries mentioned Europe is a collection of different countries with different beliefs and languages. They will never fight as one.
We have seen how brave they are when Russia decided to march into other countries and they did nothing. Russia will do the same again as they believe some of the Eastern lot belong to them. There will be trouble ahead in the east.
We don't need to get mixed up in that, although we would probably get dragged in when France capitulates after day 2.

Im not on about any of the above Ellers. I just said it might not be a bad thing considering the youth of today.
