Which of these 56 laws imposed on us by the EU would you repeal?
Perhaps while you're there you can recount the number of holes there are and if there's enough to fill the Albert Hall? And who of the Brussels' law framers are you voting for or against the next time they stand for election?
EU law has to stand for the next 26 months* then the people who have an actual democratic mandate to pass/approve laws can assess them. If they're just and necessary we should keep them. If they're not they should go. If we disagree with elected lawmakers and their assessment of these laws as they impact our lives then, when they stand for election, we get our say. Radical idea I know. Maybe the regressive left should be mounting shouty demos against it? I'm in Blackburn tomorrow if that helps.
*(Apart from any curvy banana laws. Repeal the banana immediately I say.You must log in or register to see images)

I thought he was talking about the EU. I'm very confused. You must log in or register to see images
But still is that 8,000+ posts before we hit Godwin?
And wtf is a yoghurt knitter?
OK, the bananas one, we'll get rid of that - what did that actually say again? Oh, and did we vote against it? If we didn't, shouldn't we keep it?
What about the other 55?
I've absolutely no idea whether curvy bananas was one of the 56 - it was a joke. Was it one of the 56 really? Really? You must log in or register to see imagesYou seem to think it was. I'm starting to think you may know more of this than you're letting on.
And I've absolutely no idea what you're doing here. Are we going through all of them? You seem a touch frazzled.
I'm sure you get the point Telford, you just won't address it. The bananas thing is quite often the example that people give about crazy laws (not a law at all of course) imposed on us by the EU.
Could be fake news I suppose.

No your point implied that the banana thing was one of the 56 laws you seem to be obsessing over. If it's not then fair enough but you shouldn't imply it was. You're still not getting (ignoring maybe) my point over the framing of EU law by people no electorate has returned and no electorate can remove. Now that is crazy. Bananas in fact.

The matchday thread is up. You need to be posting pictures. Not frivolously wasting time on this one. I've a four hour train journey in the morning Kiwi and I won't be home till nearly midnight. Get posting I need some sugar.
Oh dear. You accuse me of ignoring your point whilst steadfastly ignoring mine. Which of us is obsessed with EU law?

How many British laws have you had the chance to approve or remove ? You elect people who then make laws - just as you elected the British MEPs in Brussels who helped to make EU. laws.If you don't know the details then how could you know whether you should be relaxed or not?
I do know I haven't been given a chance to vote for or against anybody who proposes EU law. I know I haven't got a vote to approve or remove them. They haven't asked my permission to frame the laws which shape my life. Until they do, one law is one law too many. You consider this outrage. Some people call it democratic accountability.
