I said circumstances changed (he quit) and as result of this change of circumstances the public changed their mind and voted for a candidate from a different party.
Yes things changed 2 years after he came to power, when we have spent 2 years out of EU and if the country wants, you can ask for another vote.
They wouldn't want you back and if they did you would probably have to pay your subs for the 2 years you were out. So it's sort of down to what happens in the next few months. I do hope nobody is thinking if it all goes tits up you can rejoin and all will be well. As for Trump the saviour.
Putting the country first involves doing things for the general good, not being shortshighted and seeking personal gain but above all not lying to get elected or re-elected. Sometimes putting overall benefit above nationalism is needed. Churchill was a staunce supporter of Britain and yet shortly after the end of WWII having seen the damage and death it caused made his famous speech in Zurich. In this he called for the creation of : “the European family, or as much of it as we can, and to provide it with a structure under which it can dwell in peace, in safety and in freedom. “We must build a kind of United States of Europe.”
Trouble with most politicians they don't know when enough is enough. The powers that be in Germany and France Pushed things too far and most of us in the UK stood up and said we have had enough. Sounds familiar.
I suspect these fears were mobilised by an unscrupulous press and the self interests of some politicians. Being pedantic though, it wasn't most of the people in the UK. It was 37% of the then eligible voting population. Ok their fault for not getting out there and voting. Since then however 1.4 million additional young people are eligible to vote and 1.2 million of the older generation can't vote any more. So given the 1.3 million majority I would suggest that the margin of error, noise, variability in the validity of this original vote could be called into question. I'm not saying it should be just making an observation.
Are you sure you are not a politician in disguise. I said most of us which is correct, most of us who could be bothered to vote, that's how the system works. With regards those becoming eligible to vote and those dropping off at the other end this will always be the case.
Well it's the pro-brexit MP's in her party who are doing it so I'd be happy to see them in prison. However if 48 of them send a letter to the 1922 committee requesting a leadership contest then they hold one. She loses that then it's bye-bye Theresa.
