https://www.finder.com/uk/brexit-pound The GBP has suffered since the BREXIT vote - see above, 19% reduction in value. It is going up recently and I suspect it is directly proportional to the expectation that common sense will prevail.
The main reason that the GBP has suffered is because in the main all those banks that took the Great British Publics money in the form of bail out money are a set of useless w4nkers. They have caused more problems than anyone will ever get to know. Together with a useless set of back stabbing MP's what did anyone expect. Up the revolution I say.
Would agree with that but at the moment our economy is far too reliant and exposed to financial markets and we'll suffer if they'll suffer with Brexit (and we'll suffer more than they will). And obviously it's previous politicians (here's looking at you the corpse of Thatcher) not being in the EU that has caused the reliance on financial markets. It would also be politicians that could change that reliance not leaving the EU.
Glad to see the bastards jailed. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-45918845 And reporting restrictions are now lifted. No conspiracy of silence and no cover-up.
Evil barstewards the lot of em. Jail is too good for them. Know what I would do with them and it would not cost the GBP much money.
An interesting day in Australian Politics today. It's a by-election for the seat of the last PM who resigned after being ousted by his party. They hold a one seat majority in the house and so this could lead to parity and then a general election perhaps. Shifting demographics in Wentworth could be the key to Canberra, as residents head to the polls in a crucial by-election today. Key points: The number of families in Wentworth increased by 15 per cent in the decade to 2016 Pockets of affluent and socially conscious renters are expected to have an impact on today's vote The Morrison Government needs a Liberal win to maintain its one-seat majority ABC election analyst Antony Green said the electorate in Sydney's eastern suburbs had "a whole bunch of characteristics which are peculiar". Despite containing Australia's most affluent postcodes, a leading business figure in the area warned Wentworth contained swathes of "socially conscious" renters who could prove decisive today. The Morrison Government needs to win today's vote if it is to maintain its one-seat majority in the House of Representatives. The electorate has one of Australia's highest proportion of rental dwellings, some of the nation's highest monthly mortgage repayments and weekly rents, and huge number of flat and apartment dwellings, according to census data.
For those who haven't read the details of the Huddersfield court case regarding the Muslim rape gangs, here's a link that gives some, probably not all, details of the case....................Marson seems to be a totally different Judge with the Muslim rape gang in court. https://www.leeds-live.co.uk/news/leeds-news/16-jailed-series-grooming-trials-15295921
Apologies dbc, I just put up a similar link without realising you'd put one up. Interesting to see one of the rapists looks like a Sikh.
TommyLover here with another update on "I am Soldier X"...............This is the stuff the MSM won't show you. What Tommy has uncovered about the British Army is absolutely disgusting.
I'm sure you are all hanging on for this by-election result. Well early indications are a Independent Win and so we will have a government without an overall majority. An election is looming
Best thing to do is scrap the election result and have a re-run until you get the result you want. Seems to be the popular way to run elections/referendum these days.
And the government will now have to negotiate with a Lesbian who believes in climate change and getting kids of Nauru. Should be fun!
Counting has finished, Eric, and the Indie won. Now, there is unlikely to be a change in Government because a motion of no confidence would need all the cross benchers to vote with the Labor Party, and that ain't gonna happen. So Sco-Mo is safe for the time being. HOWEVER!! My nephew is standing against him in Cook. Originally he thought he had no chance and only agreed to stand because he felt he needed to make some sort of stand, now, it looks like he just might be in with a chance! Wow, wouldn't that be a shock? Sadly, my nephew is a Man U supporter so we could see one scummer being replaced by another LOL.
Well that's a wrap then. Agree Brissie there isn't likely to be an election tomorrow but I can't see it being next May either. It would be strange if your relo got elected, I might have to start being nice to you !!!! not
What are we doing discussing Aussie politics. We have enough of our own problems without trying to sort them out.
As 20/20 and dbc will tell him,no one knew what they were voting for when they voted in the government.
