And just to show neutrality Steve Clarke was subjected to sectarian abuse by the other ugly sister, being called a Fenian B*****d by their fans. So nothing's changed in 55 years.
The SFA's failure to tackle sectarianism is a disgrace. Probably because they are riddled with supporters of the Ugly Sisters. The only sanctions ever taken have been by EUFA. You get the occasional manager like Jock Stein or Graeme Souness who tackles it, but then it starts up all over again.
Chelsea sanctioned over the signing of minors?? Shock horror!! I don't believe it!! The FA have actually done something.
It said on SSN this evening that Roman is rumoured to want to sell Chelski. He has spent £1.5 billion apparently since he became owner. And his asking price for the trendy plastic Club that doesn't even own it's own pitch? Three Billion Pounds
"A new Opinion poll for the Observer places TIG above the Lib Dems. It gives the Tories an eight-point lead, with the Conservatives on 40%, Labour on 32%, TIG on 6% and the Lib Dems on 5%. Ukip records 7% support. " This was taken from the Guardian so I had to correct the spelling … I am sure they do it deliberately now Anyway, what is interesting is that UKIP still has a higher support than the Lib Dems in this poll and yet the Lib Dems are always on the BBC as a creditable political party?... why is this?
I think there is a lingering perception of the Lib Dems (or the Liberals as many still think of them) as the third party by a comfortable margin. A kind of hangover from the post-war era. If you asked most people who don't pay attention to politics how many MP's the Lib-Dems have, they will probably say somewhere between 30 and 50. Ask most younger people who the SDP were and you won't find one who has even heard of them. This new Independent group is a novelty sideshow. They are flavour of the week, but will soon be exposed as wet remainers with no new ideas at all - Lib Dems in fact. Then they will merge with the Lib Dems, who will re-name themselves again, and after that they'll all be forgotten.
The Labour Party as we knew it is dead. It won’t be back for two reasons - the Hard Left has taken grip of all of its organisation & control structures, and people of talent on the soft Left or even centre will now leave. History shows that England in particular has never voted for a hard Left Government, and as England comprises 86% of the electorate....
They've got 10 (Ithink) MP's. Have you noticed that Nick Clegg has morphed into Chuka Umunna? Young Nick kept banging on about the "2 old parties".
A terrible state of affairs at Coventry City, with the useless EFL now threatening to expel them from the league as the club is unable to confirm their home stadium for next season. It contravenes an obscure rule apparently The same draconian punishment hasn’t been handed out to moneybags Tottenham - who have been unable to confirm their home stadium all season ? #doublestandards
Wily Harold Wilson gave MP's a free vote on the original referendum. Interesting court case has ruled that this referendum would have been declared null and void if it had been legally binding, because Vote Leave broke the law. But because it was only advisory it was legal.
Courts ruling the results of elections or referendums null and void leads in the fullness of time to revolutions. The Courts would do well to remember that they, like the Government, defy the will of the people at their peril.
Funny that. Farage was going to demand another referendum if the will of the people was in favour of Remain. Besides, if they have another referendum and it goes for Remain, that would be the will of the people too. So whats the problem.? Maybe this time it could be binding, which the last one wasn't, so another campaign of lies by Leave would render the result null.
