When SD was moved on and GFZ brought in by the Pozzo's, there was, understandably, a degree of discontent mainly due to the departure of SD after he had done such a good job last Season.

For one I said I would wait until after Christmas having been to a few games and then form my own opinion on the Club and what the effect has been on the ' Watford way', remember that old phrase?

    So in order:

    I like the Pozzos
    I really like GFZ
I like the way the team has developed
I like the style of play
I like being 6th on the 8th Jan

also, I had a great time in Manchester and liked the performance against the Champions.

    I also like you lot.....

    Therefore I'm quite happy

I think that pretty much covers it Hampshire <ok>, and as Yorkie has said SD has another good job so all is well.

I think there was anxiety rather than "discontent" at the time of the takeover, but subsequent events have allayed many of the anxieties. Indeed, revelations about Bas have made us realise how fortunate we are that the Pozzos chose Watford to be part of their project.Though it is regrettable that SD was an undeserving casualty of the takeover, their choice of manager was inspired. He is creating a team that we CAN identify with --not mercenaries, or players we are developing for someone else's benefit, but players who themselves identify with club and fans. In the way they manage their other clubs the Pozzos show they understand the need for a long-term approach, which is what we need at Watford now-- first stability, then progress. Anxiety can now shift to worrying that the football authorities will not hamstring the Pozzo model of player loans between clubs, that the Italian economy will not implode (reducing their resources) and that Bas will not prove a ticking time bomb........

Always something there for us to worry about or potentially hold us back.

However, we are doing well for 'little old Watford' and long may it continue. The Pozzos sepak sense, either due to genuine commitment or well crafted comments, I'm hoping it is the former. Zola, god bless his little cotton socks, has moulded a lot of new players into a team with rapport, fair play to him. We have a very decent squad for this league, we should be aiming to stay or improve on our current position and turn the ground into an acceptable four sided affair.
