I was wondering when Steve Bruce was complaining about the pitch at Blackpool whether he knew what the KC pitch has been like after Christmas in recent seasons. We certainly didn't seem to move the ball with the normal spped or accuracy last night and he mentioned it as a factor in his post match interview. It's unlikely to get better and it definitely doesn't suit the way we try to play.
Plenty to think about this morning!

I'd say that other than the very first season, this is the best the pitch has ever been at this time of year.

We lost because Wednesday were better than us all over the place last night.

    Don't go looking for excuses.

The pitch went like that last season because of a microbe infection didnt it?

That parasitic worm was one thing, but it wasn't the only factor. It's always crap this time of year and we always stop winning our home games at this time of year.

Surely we should have done something about this in advance? We know how **** it gets.

The pitches anywhere aren't gtreat this time of year but the present KC pitch looks the best for some years to me.

If Brucey has concerns about the state of the pitches maybe he has to change the formation and personnel to suit the conditions till the better weather starts to appear in March.

It wasn't the only factor cos it was a load of bollocks. Total PR fluff.

I think that's what Bruce was saying we need to do as well, although there was probably a maybe in there too.

A number of manages such as Danny Wilson at Sheff U are saying the same thing - i.e. might have to change style of play whilst the pitches are not helping passing football..

Not saying I don't believe you but why would they say that? They made out like it was a one off caused by those worms and it would get better. If it was made up it would only ever last a year before people pulled them up on it when the pitch ****ed up again?

If we have to change the style of play we're ****ed because this is the only style we're any good at.

Here we ****ing go again, lets blame the the pitch. The reason we didn't play well was because of the **** players. They did not turn up and it had **** all to do with the pitch. They need a kick up the jacksy for a poor, poor performance.
