Well after the games of Saturday 28th , for most it is 13 games or 39 points to go, as predicted 93 is looking to be the winning total.. and survival or 20th position still likely to be above 52 points, already the bottom 5 are 2 results from safety. An extremely busy February has seen CITY ( 2.1 pts per game to date ) poorly gain 10 pts from the potential 21 on offer (@ 1.67, but with a win against Rochdale taking it to 1.86 a loss heaven forbid would be a meagre 1.45 pts a game!)
March see's us with 18 points on offer, with Crewe and Gillingham ( MKD and Sheff v Walsall ) being the luckiest teams in the division ! We start March with 3 straight away' then 3 home either side of Wembley

The top 5 in March ..... has only MKD play PNE, but other top fixtures ( top 9 teams ) are :-
    PNE v Donny 2 - 2
    PNE v Peterbro 2 - 0
    Sheff v Fleet 1 - 2
    Donny v Peterbro 1 - 2
    Donny v Swin * 1 - 2
    Oldham v MKD * 1 - 3
    Bradfrd v Fleet 2 - 2
    Bradfrd v Oldham
    MKD v Donny
    MKD V PNE 0- 2
    Fleet v PNE
    Barnsley v PNE 1 - 1

    Should City maintain 1.86 pts a game ( FEB average ) be on / would be 91 , 92 , or 94 pts
    MKD season average = 88 , 89 , 91 pts
    Swindon season average = 85 , 86 , 88pts
PNE season average = between 85 and 91 due to Sat game and 1 in hand!
Sheff season average = between 76 and 82 as above.

    CITY BEFORE SEASON END PLAY 3 CRITICAL GAMES v SWINDON H ; PNE A ; Bradford A

    NAIL BITING MONTH ahead C O Y R

Need to stay focused now and grind out results if necessary. I don't care if we only win 1-0.
The football doesn't have to be as pretty as it's been earlier in the season......we just need to get enough points on the board for other results not to matter

A few 1-0 will certainly help, its amazing what a bit of frost does to the ground, went for a walk on path which is across grass Thursday and since the winter frost' this has gotten very soggy in a few weeks time even after rain will revert to being firmer... think City have played away on a couple similar scenario's in the last few games! Berore the Colchester game I would have said I would not care to much should we lose against Rochdale now I HOPE WE DONT!

It's great that we're looking at the maths now and thinking of going upwards. The last few years we've had our calculators or spreadsheets on overtime whilst thinking about going the opposite direction!

This is what footy is all about - being in the mix! It's going to be a hell of a ride between now and the end of the season........"if you jump in the saddle, you better be prepared for the ride"!!!!!

........"if you jump in the saddle, you better be prepared for the ride"!!!!!

it is becoming the point in the season where the " MATHS AND FIGURES" begin the process of elimination, things are cast in stone and you can see who can or who can not, eg of the obvious is that Yeovil cant win the division after Saturdays result! HOW QUICK WILL THE OTHERS BE THROWN FROM THE BUCKING BRONCO THAT IS LEAGUE 1
Yes we can keep on winning, but so can others but the fact is always you don't,
PNE ARE ON 5 STRAIGHT WINS after 3 draws and 2 losses...

CITY had a run of 5 in Jan, last 5 is currently 3 win and 2 defeats.. so what does the spreadsheet foretell?..............
Whilst I cant say how many of the matches qualify, CITY have taken 38 of their 70 points from teams in the top half (based on points every 5 or 6 games)
MKD & PNE 28/62 Swindlers 32/61 Sheff 31/53 Donny 19 / 48 and to show how important it is to get points from teams around you WALSALL 29 of their 41 pts is against teams in top half!

Of teams that could win it...................
Having gotten 9 from 9 from our 3 away games third of Cities homes, City play Barnsley
PNE 4 from 6 HAVE 4 MORE GAMES in March, the last 3 could decide the fate of themselves and or Peterbro, Barnsley and Fleetwood
Swindon 3 from 6 2 of their 3 are fate deciders... Port Vale and Barnsley

MKD O from 6 2 OF THEIR 4 GAMES ..fate deciders of Oldham and Donny

    Sheff O from 6
    Donny 2 from 6
Barnsley 6 from 6 of their 4 games only LOrient looks easy !
    Peterbro 6 from 6
    Bradford 4 from 6

Taking Cities 2 worse runs of 10 = 19 points from 30 so final season total will be 98 points, if PNE win 10 of the remaining 12 they will end on 96

Safe to say WE CAN LOSE 3 DRAW 2 AND WIN 5 ( I KNOW ITS ONY 17 POINTS BUT NEED A NAIL BITER!)

... ... WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS
