The Paul Clement Experiment.

[Rangers Til I Die]

When we were after Clement (maybe?), we were an average Championship side looking to push on.

He has now gone to a poor PL side whose only aim this season can be to avoid relegation.

Of course the two clubs are not directly comparable. There are many factors that are different but some, no doubt, the same.

I think it will be interesting, therefore, to see how he does. Perhaps one for the future (though wishing Ollie a long and glorious reign!)?

I would like Clement to do well, but fear he has stitched himself up with Swansea, who are dreadful. I suspect he will eventually prove himself as a coach in Europe before getting a chance at a more stable PL club. If he ends up with us it will be because no one else wants him.

The one thing that stands out for me with Clement is that he always look miserable. In every setting, pictures, on the sideline, on the bench, press conferences etc. He seems very little inspirational to me. A grey mouse. I would love to proved wrong, and one day he can light up our dear QPR, but I just can't see it.

Swansea does seem a strange choic by PC.he will be very lucky to escape the drop ,and when that happens he will be sacked and his stock will be badly damaged..He may have been wiser to wait for a half decent stable club.

I agree. There does seem to be a collection of individuals better suited to be number twos. Mind you, most of our recent managers have turned out to be number twos.

Yes. Apparently he was not willing to leave Bayern in the lurch and chose to be honourable. It was a lie. Either by him or by the Board to appease the fan base. For us to be an attractive proposition, we need to be pushing for promotion, have stability, which means sticking with one manager for a few years as he develops a squad and offer him bucket loads of money for himself and also to improve the team as he, not a DoF, sees fit. Whoever still believes that we are close to his heart because of his Dad needs to wake up from that romantic dream.
