McPhail going out - Rallsy staying in. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/cardiff-city Got to be good news all round.
If McPhail is to go into coaching then some time in a lower league can help with his education prior to moving into that type of role. Rally's should stay in the Cardiff area, fantastic prospect.
Last chance saloon for Mcphail? (from a playing for us point of view at least. Agree it would be great for him if he wants to do coaching)
"I've had bags of enquiries about Joe Ralls to go out on loan but right now he's needed around the squad." I liked that bit. The boy has got a great future for sure, but I still reckon he could do a job right now and would step up to the mark.
He's shown he is unfazed by stepping into the left back role and 'doing a job'. This may have been his breakthrough year if MM hadn't had a war chest given him. I don't think the opportunity has gone, just defered. I admit to liking Mutch when he first played but feel Ralls may be the better option at the moment if Gunnar is unavailable.
I also think Ralls could step straight in to the 1st team. If hes not going to play then a short term loan with a recall clause could be beneficial all round. Mcphail simply isnt good enough to challenge for a 1st team place.
