We had 19 shots today. That's a lot of shots. We are only 4 points behind second place, and one behind 6th. We stil have Reeves and Marshall to add to the squad, which shows our strength in depth. None of this mamby-pamby "Paper-thin squad" nonsense purrr-lease. Ricky Holmes will be back next week. We have more points than we did this time last season. er, er....that's it.

Surely we are still top of the Squawka league.
Not to mention the Double-barrel surname league, and the Academy building site next phase league.
    Then there's
    the Liars league,
    the Partially closed ground league,
the No ambition (be happy with less) league,
    the Underwhelming subs bench league,
    the Learning from mistakes league,
the Paying wages on time league,
the Sense of entitlement (apologists) league,
    the Staff turnover league,

the Growing a new fan base league,
the Last result in on a Saturday afternoon league...

Liking the fade out, lardi! You learn something new every day.

Positive - The transport when leaving the stadium isn’t as bad as it used to be when we had 20k+ <whistle>

Why invent excuses when you have the latest offerings from “Seriously Deluded” ?

He has said the following -

    - we would have won 3 points yesterday if Holmes had played

    - we always beat teams in the lower half of this league (err...we don’t)

    - we need another transfer window <laugh>

    - best of all ....
Let’s see where we are in NOVEMBER when Reeves and Marshall are back

    Isn’t it time we had a W*NKER emoji on 606 ?

If we sell Holmes in January that will bring us nearer to breaking even for the season.

January will be an interesting month. Robinson was careful in saying that we *might* spend money on a striker in January *if* we have a chance of the Play Offs. Far more likely is another re-run of this January’s scenario with Lookman & Fox. RD will look at the balance sheet and spit out his yellow teeth. Not many assets left to flog these days ....

Further reason to be cheerful then! If we're out of contention for promotion in January we won't need to worry about Roland having to find the money for a striker! We can even sell the one we've got! Magennis' goalscoring record will make him a more saleable asset for Roland! Glass half full? Mine is overflowing!

I'm absolutely ecstatic that we got a point at Walsall. They are one of the better teams in L1, with a good home record, how on earth could the moaning minnies expect
Little Old Charlton to win there? And if we can get a point at Walsall, why should we not aim for another point at Fleetwood? KR told us before the game how brilliant Walsall are, so a point is a fantastic achievement. No doubt the Negative Normans will spin it differently, but well done Robbo and the lads for getting a point at one of the L1 giants.

    Mystic Royston's Predictions for Oct-Jan:

    1. The squad of 14 pick up unexpected injuries & suspensions to key players. Nobody could have foreseen this happening.
    2. The replacements - KAG, Lennon etc - prove not good enough.
    3. Charlton embed themselves comfortably in mid table in League One.
    4. Meire - as attuned as ever to Charlton fan's opinion - declares "we have learned from our mistakes"
    5. Robinson implodes - after being denied a second pudding in the Sparrows Lane canteen. These cutbacks...
    6. Konsa /Holmes are flogged in January, Regime: "its unfair to stand in their way"
    7. Roger Johnson rejoins Charlton on deadline day, released from his big money contract with Bromley.

    Call me a liar <cheers>

Since the Global Moderator has assured us that we're signing Will Griggs in January it's good to see him getting his goalscoring touch back, in readiness for his move south. No doubt his manager has told him that in order to make sure his dream move to the Valley comes off he has to keep scoring. I can't wait to have him on the bench.

A thrashing by Wigan could persuade Roland that we're doomed to spend next season in L1, and he might lower his asking price.
